Sounds like everyone has had a busy, crazy day. Nothing out of the ordinary around here. Just the way I like it. Tomorrow that may be a different story, all the little ones will be here then!

Have a good night everyone!

Hello! Hope all is well

Here's some pictures of my little easter Turkeys...they're getting so big already! This is on day one...maybe a couple hrs after they were hatched and one of them hatching. I had to help them all, one did come out after the first round of "helping" but the rest had to be helped quite a bit. They are already showing they are not the brightest crayons in the box! LOL

MJ do you sell Turkey hatching eggs, and if you do will you PM me some prices and the instructions on hatching and raising them. I am interested in the Bourbons and the Bronze for meat. At what age do you butcher these breeds of turkeys. Thanks

Zoo...i sell the Bourbon and Blue Slate eggs. the other breeds i purchased to hatch out to increase my variety for breeding trios.

Heritage breed turkeys take about 6 months to grow out. they can reproduce and the meat is a better quality.

if you breeze the website, the prices are listed on the store page.
i will pm you also.

Good Morning everyone,

I hope your todays are better than your yesterdays.

I got my new egg turner in the mail yesterday

But what was I thinkin and how the heck did it happen? I was done, done done, not doing this anymore...and somehow I have more eggs than I do space- in two incubators.
Well, I had a bunch of eggs already- and they are do the beginning and end of next week...and as for the rest, well, twelve muscovy eggs are in the turner, twelve easter eggers....six Mille Fluer...and twelve silkie/frizzled cochin eggs.

Thats all fine, except that I also ordered twelve japanese banties and 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Serama eggs. I need another bator. And I AM DONE.

However, i did talk to my brother in law. I told him he needs to get rid of the roosters so I can bring the juvenile babies over. ANyone need some roosters? I dont care if you eat them. I just need to reduce the roos over there so I can give them the youngins I don't keep.

Coffee is on and if you hurry there might be some left. It looks as though today will be rather damp but at least it will be warm enough to not be snow. Have several bids to work on today. It is hard to believe but every bid we have quoted has resulted in a job. Most of the jobs we have been the highest bidder. Even though the market is tight the people we have met with are taking the time to research the people quoting. David and I have been in business together for over twenty years and have a tremendous repeat customer clientel list. Many of the jobs were awarded because the prospective customer has taken the time to check on referrals. One job we are starting next week is rebuilding a deck that the customer paid of $18,000 to have built. Unfortunately, it was a very shoddy job. The builder has gone out of business and the deck is unusable. Anyone planning a project this year will be doing themselves a great favor to research the contractor they plan to hire. Most times cheaper only means less quality.

Preaching to the choir on this one my friend. I have been saying the same thing for years. I can't tell you how many I have seen take out full page ads in the paper, on billboards, buy new trucks and decal the heck out of them only to be out of business in a few years because of shoddy workmanship, and I am called to do things right.

I also say just because someone can take out full page ads doesn't mean they can do the work correctly. I encourage prospective clients to check out my work by giving them phone numbers and addresses of places and people I have worked for.....amazing thing, a good referral from a satisfied customer is the best advertising and it is free.
