To the acronym phobics, I apologize. At least I didn't say LFBO
Hope everyone has a nice day in spite of the gray wetness. I'm on "spring breaK" (we can't say Easter in the public school system
even though we have Good Friday off and spring break is always the week after the "E" word.) I'm hoping to get the chicken fence repaired and make a little trip to TSC and we all know what that can mean...
Thanks MJ got the PM. I didn't see ya had a web site but I will go check it out.
It still amazes me what is out there on the net. I went to a garden conferance the first part of the month. I took a seed saver class and the instructor has a web site that is amazing she writes different gardening books and even has had articals published in the Country Mag. Her web site is http://manytracks.com if ya got some time there is some real interesting stuff on there and some great art work. I just took a peek at it last night and didn't even scratch the surface of it.
Thanks again for the info and I will get on your site and check the store out.
Morning all will be keeping everyone in my prayers today. This morning was the first time the water in the pens was not frozen, looks like maybe just maybe spring might make an appearance after all.
good morning everyone. making some lovely sourdough bread this morning. yummy. and the Strawberry Cake that gumpsgirl posted.
was supposed to do it all yesterday, but i had a little trouble with my sugar and was having tremors and my stomach was not at all happy about it.
i feel peachy this morning though. yeah!
opa, i think it's funny that you mentioned at least the rain meant it wasn't cold enough to snow! every morning i get up and go check to see if i can use a hose or have to haul the waterers into the house!
I just hope this rain quits. The past couple of weeks have taxed my septic system and I know I need to get it pumped out, but there is no way to get the truck up the hill until things dry out, otherwise he'll be stuck to his axles trying to get there
I failed completely with my last batch, so I went out and bought some adults from a breeder and have been learning their ways. My buttons I hateched are about 5 weeks old now, but the kids want to keep them in-house as pets. I told them that once we get more coturnix, their name is going to be food............. not baby whale and fluffy lol
Oh yeah, I got eggs from ebay in the incubator, along with some of my crossbred chickens and am going to get some more eggs sometime after the 24th (1/3 of my order came in broke) so I am hoping to have lots of little fuzz butts around here
I only set a small amount of buttons and they hatched... more as a test for coturnix, then I set like 50 coturnix and went in to check on it and grand daughter had turned up the heat on the bator (which I hadn't found out till later) and had cracked the lid open and was playing egg stomp. ACK! None of the remaining eggs hatched...
