Good Morning All!

The usual coffee drinkers are not on yet...wonder if something is wrong with the coffee makers!

This morning at my neighbor's I got to see the last robin hatch!!! So there are 4 baby robins in a wreath next to her front door. The momma was not happy about us using the door!

Cannot wait til tomorrow and the warm weather!!

Off to get the kids breakfast and school going.

Oh and in regards to the puppy after getting fixed, He goes out on a leash, we both don't like that! I had him spend most of yesterday in his kennel. Right now he is laying by me and trying to lick the boys who just got up. He is going to get his breakfast, which the vet said we feed him less now, Leo is not happy about that!
If we can do this for 5 days I think we will be diong great! He wants his tennis ball and to play catch:lol:

Good Morning. Coffee is hot here.

Sorry to hear about the chick loss LoveMyChicklets. We lost two yesterday too, but because they weren't strong enough to make it out of the egg.

Babsboys - I know the feeling! Kids grow so fast, and you mut appreciate every moment you can with them. My kids say the sweetest things, but I know the day is coming when I won't here that anymore.

You guys are right about what kids say. My granddaughter once asked me to get the eggs from under a hen that kept pecking her. When I told her what made her think that the hen wouldn't peck me she said "oh she will but old people are more used to being hurt".

Hello fellow Michiganders!

Anyone else here in da UP? (sorry, but I really couldn't read all 1200 or so posts in this thread, LOL!)

It is snowing here as I type--ahhh, the UP...

I am definitely looking forward to some warmer weather, and to my banty chicks arriving the first week in May! This will be the first year I will attempt to winter my chickens in the hen house (built last spring), so I'll have a lot of questions about that (it gets so COLD up here). I am also getting 15 Rouen ducklings in May (Only wanted a few, so I went in with someone else who has since dropped out of the deal--ARGH!) and am a little panicked about them...Like I said in my intro post, if anyone lives nearby, and wants some ducklings, send me a PM, I'll let them go cheap!

I can't wait for my new Banty's though! This spring I am adding a chicken run to the hen house, as my two favourite birds got taken by a predator last fall while we were up at the cabin for a couple of days.

With a fenced in run, I can make sure they are safe when we aren't home.

Just thought I'd pop in to say hello! Looking forward to meeting you all!
