Umm, Feathers Acres, You have WAY too much time on your hands!

And you're driving me nuts! I only have dial-up so your one word posts are eating my bandwidth!

You need to go watch some chickens or something.

BTW the rain has finally reached the northeast of the state. The guineas out side are NOT happy!

(you do realize I am not mad at you right?)

i just did that. not on purpose, mind you. it is slicker than grease on the grass from the rain and mud.

actually, now that i think of it, it was more like water skiing.

It's so dangerous out there with all this mud! I nearly slipped on my butt a few times! That sure would be a sight!

I got new babies today. Ideal sent me a brown leghorn instead of a SLW. They sent me 2 SLW I also had a Red frizzle turn into a cochin somehow they replaced it with 3. I think my husband is going to bury me in the hole he dug to pour concrete for a lean to off the back of the garage YIKES. He was NOT happy this morning at all. Oh well what can a girl do? The chickens will never yell at me. hmmm

Good afternoon all!

We are busier than busy here. Between all the regular daily stuff we do, the oldest and my hubby are in softball so 3 different nights a week is softball, (none tonight do to the rain)
We run the county 4-H handicap riding program at my SIL's farm and that is starting in 2 weeks. Next week we have the Project Red at the farm, 400 3rd graders, I am already tired thinking about it!

Off to get Jack from preschool.

Hello from a former UP'er! Now we're in suburban Chicago with 6 little bantam chickens. We kept ours inside this winter, hubby 'fraid 8 below was too cold. They're funny how they come back in at 6:30 sharp for their bedtime! Too cute! I think we'll keep them in forever, soooo easy to keep clean in their tiny little basement coop. Then outside with the kids in the am to scratch around eating stuff from the yard. Collecting eggs in the am is a breeeeeze too. Good luck with your chickens!

Hi, from a former Chicagoian! I have a cousin that lives in St. Charles. I lived in Chicago, DesPlaines, and Elk Grove before moving away way back in '77!
