Morning everyone!
Just had a couple of cups of coffee outside with the chickens and the baby chicks. The little ones are free ranging now and it is so entertaining to watch them.

We butchered 14 meaties yesterday, they were 9 weeks. They came out on average 6 and 1/2 lbs each. One is a bigger one at 7lbs 8oz we will be eathing that one tomorrow. Yum!

Hope everyone is have a great weekend. I am off to hang out laundry and mow the grass!

LauraSBale...tried to catch you on PM, but just in case...wanted to let you know that my hubby and me have had some kind of 'flu' thing and don't want your kids sick. i feel good this morning, but i don't want to not let you know especially with your kids! if you still want to come that is okay but i just wanted you to know.

Yeah, that crud stuff is going around here. My youngest daughter has been on 3 rounds of antibiotics and we found out tuesday hers is not a regular sinus infection but sinusitus so she has to stay on antibiotics for 21 more days, yeah! My oldest daughter got diagnosed yesterday with Influenza A, we thought she had mono, they are also testing her for N1H1 just in case! She is the one graduating next weekend and turning 18 the week after. I just hope she doesn't share with us since we have graduation and her open house coming up!

has she been really tired? It explains my lack of energy. I already had one earlier this spring and was on antibiotics for 5 weeks! I'll have to make a new appt with my ENT. He said if it came back he'll probably send me for a CT scan, or MRI, one of those things to look for blockages.

Well, she is only five, so harder to tell, since they have endless energy! She has been whiny and a bit more tired than usual. They did an xray of her sinuses and noticed a thickening of the lining, I believe they said.

oh and need to add...met LauraSBale and her two daughters today.
what a nice family! the girls were not only beautiful, but ladies in the truest sense.

the youngest (i am not putting names out of privacy, unless Laura wants to share) had many exciting 'finds' of feathers while here and had many questions and each time would tap my hand or arm and wait patiently until i could answer. so refreshing!

the oldest was full of grace and charm. she had a very nice self esteem and you can see that Laura and her husband work hard at parenting.

what a blessing to meet your family, Laura. please come back with the whole crew for a real visit.

Welcome Shaggysgirl. I know you will enjoy your self here and like Vicki said this is a talkative bunch. All except me, I real shy.
