The feelings are mutual

We've talked so much here on BYC and PM that you feel like part of the fam already

PS, I have a confession to make..... I've secretly been looking for a stuffed Tucan Sam to bring you as a gag, but have been unable to find such item

Cookies must have been the theme for the day. I just happend to make a batch of good old chocolate chip's. Seems like they are my standby on dreary days. The sun finally did pop out for awhile, but it still seemed like a blah day.

Okay all you chicken experts. My mom has a small flock of laying birds with the most gorgeous roo I have ever saw. I am guessing that he is an EE roo as he looks just like her EE hens with brighter and more varied colors, but I really do not know. They were all given to my mom from someone that ordered a misc. laying flock from one of the hatcheries. What do you think?

Gosh what wonderful color.

Also, what type of hen is this in the front? Speckeled Sussex?

Whatever he is he is gorgeous! I'd really like to bring him home and put him out with my EE's. Mom has been collecting her EE eggs for the past couple of days, and we are thinking about trying to hatch them. If so I tolk her that I want any roos that come out of it (as long as they look like daddy)

Being as I am not originally from Michigan, I was wondering if anyone else feels like I do right now... I am tired of being cold.

It's June, it should at least be a little warm by now. 20 years here and I guess I still can't get used to it. It is a beautiful state though.

honey, it's still too early to be warm all the time! shoot, don't even think of swimming in the lakes yet. they don't warm up until mid August and you get about three weeks until they cool down again!
