Morning all. I have some horrible news. Some one stole my cat right out of my Drive way last night.

I thought all the cats where inside after I put the chickens away (they normally are not out side unless we are out side)

The man who lives across the street from me called me around 11 and said he just saw a young man in a red sweat shirt pick up my cat and walk away with her.

I haven't seen her at all last night or today. She is wearing a purple collar with a heart shaped pink name tag which had her name and my phone number on it. I don't know if to many people on here are near me but If anyone sees my cat please let me know.

She is a long haired Dilute Calico (gray white and tan colored) female cat.

Anny did you call your local police or Human Society, to see if there is any thing else can been done,

that happen here in linden, and the person took out a ad in the local paper, and was able to get there dog back, someone took the pup right out of there back yard.

I hope you find her soon, and the people that seen him take her can help.

Gooooooood Morning BYC Michiganders!

It seems to be shaping up to be a nice day here today! (other then I'm at work....but see how hard my job is since I'm online lol) With the help of Vicki and her wonderful husband (ok he did most of the work lol) I got a goat building set up last weekend and now that the goats are out of the chicken coop I can FINALLY have chickens again! YAYEE! I moved my 3 turkeys into the coop and they're too stupid to go in at night so I have to put them in.

Darn turkeys. I haven't decided what kind of chickens I want yet...I've always had RIR's or ISA with a couple of Black Ost. thrown in. I'm leaning toward barred rocks...those guys can pump out nice big brown eggs. I'm going to wait and support the local 4-Her's and hopefully find some nice ones at the small animal sales at the two local fairs I'm near.

Or at least that's my plan!

Sorry about your kitty Anny----that is just wrong for someone to do that. It's not like there are not other cats around. We have a plethora of cats and a ton of kittens in our garage right now. I would have happily given that person one or two or three. Maybe the suggestion to call the humane society will give you some ideas. At least you know what happened and aren't wondering why she didn't show up at your door. I will say prayers for you and kitty, and I know others on here have already sent some up.

The kids are cleaning out the garage so we can put the chicken cages in there and bring our chickens home. Craig is getting ready to start on the coop and we have our pen area all figured out---just gotta get the fencing up. We have neighbors on either side, and out of 9 chicks we got 4 roos.
I may be looking for homes for bantam blue orp or speckled sussex roos if they get too wild, crazy and noisy. Kara is bummed, but she knew that was the chance you take when she decided she wanted chickens.
