LMC...it's not silly to process extra bantams. meat is meat. shred it for tacos or something yummy like that!

i got to meet KrisRose and Chickflick today! they came over to pick up some chickies and we had a nice little visit. if they claim at all that i am a Super Hero named Princess Underpants that's completely a fabrication.

OF COURSE i will! hmm.....i have to bake cookies for 'Thursdays in the Park' and also something for the young people's group at church so someone has to sacrifice themselves for the good of others, might as well be Jared. always thinking of others, that one!

i thought it was awesome that the boys thought we really should get the red phones!

(too bad he isn't here today...making a Buttermilk Pound Cake that i flavored with Cherry and Almond to go with Superman Ice Cream for James' b'day!)

Good Afternoon! Wow, it was a busy, fun day. First Krisrose and I went to MJ's. I was very proud of myself and did not leave with any of the adorable chicks. Kristen on the other hand left with 3 beautiful chicks. Had a great time talking with MJ and her daughter. Loved all the set ups and all the different birds! And she does have some nice undies! Then we headed to shelleyb's house to bring her some eggs to hatch. Again, very nice set up and lots of beautiful chicks and chickens. Logan, of course, is adorable and DH is a super nice guy. Kristen, again, came away with a turkey!! It was so much fun visiting with fellow BYCers. Wasn't that just the best way to spend a day??

What more can we ask for??

Thanks for a great day!

i think the only reason Rose did not leave with fluffy bird creatures is that she didn't have a carrier. and since it was warm out, not many pockets. i saw her eyeballin' a couple of ducks....Shelley may want to count her turkeys too.....

The only reason I didn't take any fuzzy butts is because I didn't want to push my luck with DH. I have to know how far....can't ruin a good thing!

I got a lot of chickens this spring. It sure was hard leaving those beautiful fuzzy butts behind! Your place is so nice! Loved seeing all those chicks just running amok!

any of them that end in y. except wed's because i help teach that class.

dang it. the wind is blowing softly and it is evaporating the duck area. el-stink-o! ack-a-rama. i wanna puke-oh. cannot wait to roto-til it up and reseed it for the orps. way better to have the ducks in tractors now! thank goodness!

you are smart. you are right too. pushing too far is not very fair or right. honor and respect are good things.

well, we're getting it nicer anyway. it will be nice when we are done. thank you for saying that.

they are so funny running every which way! even under the underwear....

Hey MJ. Looks like the BR are 1 boy and 1 girl. I am very happy about that. Still not sure on the sweetgrass though. One is starting to get a little bigger snood but not much. Once the roos and big turkeys go in to be processed I am really thinking I will need a Buff Orp roo. What do you think. Looks like a have a trio of silkies so 1 roo there and I am keeping the big guy RIR roo. If he get mean he will be my first attempt at butchering myself. Do you think 15 hens could handle a Buff Orp roo too. Art is still saying no way to the ducks. But I can get more chickens if I want.
