Runner ducks are sooo... cute. But my husband is the builder of things and if I don't have him on board it won't work. I am more of the artist, imagination person and I can't seem to build anything with right angles. You should see the bird house I tried building once.... very ...scary!!

Great day at MJ'S, I scored 3 pullets, and a great day at Shellyb's, I scored a turkey!!!
Got to admire MJ's undies and her little herds of chicks out running around. So cute. I don't know how Chickflick could resist not getting some chicks!!!
Shellyb has beautiful silkies and frizzles! Fell in love with Logon and a little cross bred turkey!! Could only afford the turkey

, had to leave Logon behind!!!

I'm here...had chickens since 1995. Have had meat chickens which I learned to kill myself in the back yard. Now I do it the right way...drive an hour to Borg's in Hudson MI and let them do it!
Now I have all sorts of egg chickens, only breeds that can deal with our winters.
I hatch a batch in February for myself and sell the previous year's hens for next to nuthin to people that inquire.
Ypsi is about to pass their chicken ordinance so that'll be cool. Always loved talking to new chicken people but hate seeing them go through the dealing with predators thing that we all went through at one time or another.

it looks like it is going to be nice today! i need to trim all of the flowers from my hostas and all of my bushes need to get haircuts. perfect day methinks! i needed to do it a few weeks ago and then we got all that weird weather. now is the day to attack!

Sarah you need to start feeling better it's Friday. Opa I would of went back to bed if I woke up at 4 am. Actually I did. Son had me up with another bad dream. MJ my hostas are just starting to bloom. But I got my first zucinni and summer squash out of the garden yesterday. Fried squash for dinner tonight. Yum...

Briana if you trim the flowers on the hostas, your plants will grow faster and larger.
