Back in April I got a pair of Bantam Orpington from ShellyB1969 and I want to share their beauty with all of you. They really started to color up beautifully and the lacing is becoming quite apparent.

Then May, Citalk2much was kind enough to give me some day old pyncheon chicks. They have really turned out to be quite spectacular. Thanks Crystal.

Mee too!!!!!

We have a birthday party at noon and a pig roast at 4pm to attend, so I will be getting some yummies today. Makes it easier to have the knowledge that I am missing out on Cat's goodies.

yankiedoodle girl...you so should come out with Cat! she's a good driver and totally not a nut case!

. I love meeting and helping out other BYCers. I like how this is such a community, I'm a member on a few sites for exotics and it isn't like this at all.

Btw, I might have to take you up on that offer

Good Morning BYC, another morning of being able to claim the dubious honor of first poster of the day. Hope everyone enjoyed yesterday once the storm rolled through. I know I certainly did. I took three birds yesterday and only came home with two. How rare is that? Although I haven't check the back of my truck and Michelle kept saying are you sure you don't want more. The heritage Delawares I did bring home are beautiful birds and I will be glad when they are old enough to add to the "rainbow" flock.

Sarah posted yesterday about exercising as means of getting her body back and that certainly is laudable. I, however, would like to find some way of getting rid of mine, since everyday there seems to be something else that starts to ache. I've entered the phase of my life that I get to play "the new ache of the day" game.

Thanks Annie, I am awfully proud of my "rainbow flock" and it has been a lot of enjoyment trying to find just the right birds. The only problem with it is that there are so many beautiful birds that I would love to add. I currently have 25 in my layer flock and 21 bantam. Pretty funny when one considers that I was only going to get 3 or 4 hens for eggs. Anytime anyone would like to stop by and see my birds I would love to have you.

Welcome Yankee doodle girl- I'm up here in litchfield. Feel free to contact about stopping by.

After a week of wife testing and hosp for wife it is nice to read up on how you folk are doing.

Have a great day everyone.

Cat----are the pepperoni rolls made out of the gump bread? I was thinking about those the other day. I wanted to try them sometime, and I had visions of adding corned beef, swiss and a tiny bit of sauerkraut and making reuben rolls.

MJ--no, the pig roast we went to was where we board our horses, out near Melissa's house. They host it every year. It was so much fun!!!!!
The kids ran races on the round bales. It was so funny, watching them run and then suddenly loose it and disappear between the bales. They loved it. Earlier in the day we went to a family b-day party and that was fun too. Just a great all around day of fun and food.

If anyone fell in love with Opa's bantam blue orp roo, we will have one available after the first of August---free to good, non-eating home

. He is the back up roo for the fair, so we need to keep him until after the fair is over. Please PM me if you are interested. He is a pet for my daughter, so I want a good home for him. He is also from shelleyb,so he is a really nice bird!!! He is about 12 weeks old and just starting to try and crow.

Here is a pic of Moonshine
