Boyd, sorry about your 2 chickens, Hope everything is ok with the rest,

I had a girl about week n half ago, i worked all day came home and Lauren my Daughter, is frickin out, that one of are BA is dead, so i go out there and she is laying on her back, dont know what happen everyone else is fine, we have been having some in issues with a raccoon killing the neighbors turkeys, there on the other side of the chicken coop,
and came over to my duck yard, i have silkies with the ducks, and the coon got one of my silkie girls , i went out there about 11:00 to close everyone up and the coon already got her.

the other silkie decided to sit on eggs, and now the roo keeps looking for the other girl, his so sad

Silkie girl thats on eggs, hopefully she will hatch out a one, the are due any day, and one was cracked yesterday we thought it was starting to peep and no it was sticky rotten egg

.

Well i have lots of worked to do, since i was gone for 4 days, have to clean the duck coop, and duck yard, weed the garden, which now looks like a weed garden, Clean the chinchilla cages, and the house. oh my!! then tomorrow i have to go up to Burton at JCP and do a set up for Olga and Warner.

I thought they were usually college kids!!

Of course, there was a big scam last year where they were pretending to be vacuum salesman and would case your house and then come back and rob it later!! My sister had a really creepy guy show up at her house, unkempt, his "gift" for letting him and and demo'ing his vacuum was an old camp chair that had seen better days, she refused, locked the doors and called the company to complain! They informed they had NO ONE in the area and call the POLICE!! She did and that is when they told her of the scam!! SCARY!!

That is a little scary. We are so far off the road and I am home alone with the kids. That is why I love my big dog so much. He doesn't warm up to strangers until after I introduce him a few times then he knows they must be ok.

Sure was disheartening this morning to discover a gold seabright that has basically been scalped. I'm pretty sure the culbrits are the silver seabrights. She sure is a bloody mess. Separated her, put Poultry Drench in her water, got her to swallow a few drops of Poultry Drench straight, and covered her entire head with antibiotic ointment. Now it's up to her and God.
