Just jumping in to say hello!! Hope everybody is ready for this winter weather. I have been busy moving a bunch of my animals now that winter is coming. I have lived here longer than I like to say, but when we get these first cold spells it always seems to take me by suprise.

My hatch last week went really well, 12 out of 15 hatched. I will try to post some pictures when I find the cable for camera to the computer. Maybe some of you can help me with sexing. I have read all the info I can find, but still think I have alot of girls.

That would be great, but not likely.
Hope everybody bundles up and has a great day!!
By the way, thank you again to vicki for the awesome eggs and to chickflick (rose) for your help getting them to me!!!

Zephercreek glad to hear you are doing better. Nice to see you back. Is anyone out there getting any snow? Nothing at all here. I was hoping but nothing.

Very pretty picture.

I wish our stupid weather would decide what it's going to do. The weather man said up to three inches of snow tonight changing over to rain and then tomorrow ii't supposed to be 42. Yuck.

Hello my fellow Michiganders,

The snows howling pretty good here now. I went out and checked the chickens. The big coop is really comfortable inside but I did secure the pop door a little better. The 13 week olds really like it right in front of the door and it felt a wee bit drafty. My 4'x6' RIR coop seemed pretty warm inside as well. The pop door on it faces directly east and of course this storm is blowing from the east. Snow was coming in around the edges of the pop door and all 6 RIRs were piled right in front of the pop door. The alpha hen had about 1/4 inch of snow on her side facing the door and didn't seem any worse for wear from it. I wedged a piece of plywood outside over the pop door to help block the draft/snow a little better. All and all the chickens seemed quite content.

Good morning all. The weather looks less than nice today. I wasn't impressed with the snow we were getting. I'm even less impressed with the rain and now they're forcasting high winds adding to the rain for the rest of the day.

Opa- the only good thing is the snow that is left is great packing snow! I was bummed when I woke up to rain at 5:30 this morning!!!!

Cititalk- LIGHTENING AND THUNDER! Oh my goodness! Just lots of rain here. Just imagine if it was snow

I think there are some bummed kids that they have school today.

Have a great day today everyone! I am making 4 huge trays of cheesey potatoes for a funeral at church this afternoon. And I am on clean up duty

The gentleman had Lou Gericks (sp) disease. I can see him walking, talking, and dancing in heaven. And helping everyone out.
