That is what you get listening to the weather man! hehehehe

Hey did you get paths for Granny's dog? She would get lost in the snow and blend in too!

Rachel can incubate some eggs if the kids want Ameraucana lavender and black. She sells the chicks for $4. The roosters are seperated and the hens aren't laying much at the moment. Probably in a month she will put them back together. So let me know.

I don't know how far you are from me ( we are in Conway Township), but there has been one flying here. I've seen him lurking about in the trees. Maybe it's the same one.

They are beautiful birds, and even though they are probably looking for my chickens, I love seeing them.

Bluemoon- you aren't too far away. We are 2 miles west of M-59 off of Grand River.

Thanks, I will add you to the list and when the kids decide what they want, let you know!

Forgot to ask, are those LF or bantam? Thanks again!

Good evening everybody!!
Hope everyone is making it through the weather okay. We got probably got close to 6" in last night's snow. For January I guess we are doing okay. Did alot of shoveling and plowing today.
Love reading about the dog stories. I have a jack russell and chihuahua mix, she hates this weather. I also have three large dogs who are loving it. I always feel bad for my little one, she is about 12 now and still hates this weather.
Yak lady: Your house story is awesome! Having a letter like that and how you got it is incredible. Must be fate you are there.
Vicki: If your 4H'ers are interested I have some bantam blue orpingtons that should be show quality. The lady I got them from had kids who showd them and did well. I have 3 little ones now that I hatched with the wellsummer eggs I got from you. I also would have eggs available if they would be interested, just let me know. I do also have black Japanese as well if that would interest them. Not sure about show quality, but they are beautiful birds. I will probably hatch some soon just for fun, but should also be able to have eggs available.
Hope everyone has a good night, time for some rest.

Sarah was concerned if I'd plowed a potty spot for Granny's dog. Well I have and I think that may have been a mistake. I'm sure that Granny's bichon takes great pride in being able to excrete roughly 8x's more than she ingests. Additionally see is uncanny in her ability to deposit it exactly where David or I intend to walk next. With the light snow we have had I have only shoveled a path to the shop and the coop the width of a snow shovel. My JRT has no difficulty in wandering the yard and taking care of business where you seldom find it. Connie is a different critter altogether. She will wander the yard smelling everything and never feels nature's call until she has detected our foot prints. While experimenting with handling this snow blower I have cleared an 8' wide path from the house to the coop. I swear that poor dog was practically apoplectic trying to determine just where she should go.

Opa, that poor dog! How mean of you to confuse it so! LOL!

Vicky, if you want a white silkie roo for your 4H kids, you can have my Fricken. Don't know how far away you are, but if you're ever in this neck of the woods feel free to stop by and grab him. He's adorable, albeit a big sissy. I love him, but the chickens don't. He would be perfect as some little kiddo's pet.
