Vicki is right. Saturday shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the offer. I had ordered D'uccle from Ideal 3 died within 24 hours. The one I have left looks to be a pullet. We are gonna be really busy this weekend though. Birthday party and we have to get coops cleaned up and finished on top of landscaping.

Hi all. I think I have a little problem. I have 2 Australorps, about 3 or 4 weeks old (I'd have to look at their dates). They were both supposed to be pullets. Ooooof course, I am about 90% one is a roo. He has a taller comb, it is partially red, and he already has waddles. His sister has no waddles and her comb is still small and they were born on the same day. My RIR's that are a good 4 weeks older don't even have waddles yet. I am at a loss what to do with him. We can not have a rooster. Any ideas? Anyone here want him? I'll give him to you, or if you want to trade? Does anyone have any other ideas? I'd rather he goes to someone here who I know will love him!

No rush, Briana- I am not doing anything with them and planned on taking them to ChickenStock. If any time between now and then you are interested, just give me a PM.

The first broody hen I had this year was an EE, then a RIR and now.... I have a broody wellie!!

I got two buff orps this spring because I didn't think I had any hens that would go broody for me.
Shellyb, congrats to your DH on getting a job!

That is great news!

My DH and youngest son have been sick all week and I think that they decided to share... I can't get sick, I have too many things to do

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one that eats collards. I always have to plant some in my garden but I am the only one around here that will eat them.

Another wet morning, but work must continue. Planting seed today. It is nice to hear others are keeping collards alive up here in the north. Our 4H club is walking in a parade in June. Guess what day? Yep, June 12th. The daughter is really looking forward to being IN the parade instead of just watching one. Great day to you all!

Anyone who lives in Livingston County.... They ( Livingston County) are selling recycled rain barrels for 55 dollars at the Livingston East complex on Grand River, and a JCPenney lot somewhere in Brighton. It's first come, first serve, but there were plenty left when we were there. They take cash, credit, check etc.

Just thought I'd let anyone else know who might be interested.

Amazing, Blue Moon - you proved you are a thread killer. Beautiful weather keeps us all outdoors - hope everyone enjoys the fine weather and gets caught up on the chores! We're still planting like crazy here in A2 land. Still have 3 more plots to go, I hope my back and legs hold up, I'm getting creaky.

Wow looks like all this sunshine has destroyed everyones internet connection. Not one soul posting here since yesterday morning.

I drove to the Hillbilly Roosters house this morning. What a beautiful morning for a drive I wish I could have had more time and never gotten on the expressway. He was kind enough to sell me some year old ISA Browns and Buff Orpingtons for the brother of the young fella that works for me. They lost their entire flock to their neighbors dogs. They arrive at my house about the same time I got back and were absolutely thrilled with their new birds. Turns out they have been lurking on BYC. I told them about Chickenstock and they are now planning to attend. Thanks again Jason that was very kind of you.
