I am going to post on the wanted to buy thread,
but maybe someone here can help me to find some hens in mid Michigan.

Reliable egg layers, I am thinking some that are 8-10 weeks old?
I looked at the for sale thread and will check the michigan sellers.
Can someone send me in the right direction here?
First time chicken owner. Just a few chickens to start.

I actually had a job interview up in Gwinn, near Marquette, so we turned it into a vacation. We loved the town, but the position (due to budget) was reduced to part time and I can't make the move for a part time position. But we had fun driving around the area, went through Munising so DD could see Lake Superior, stopped by Gar Lyn Zoo on the way back and also stopped by the dunes just west of St. Ignace so DD could play in the water. Except that last summer was so cold, it was about 60 degrees, not really swimming weather. Also stopped at the Mystery Spot. We also one day plan to do a more thorough tour.

I actually just got back from the UP Sunday night. I do endurance riding with my horse and we competed in the 25 mile division near Rapid River on the Bay-de-Noc-Grand Island Trail that runs from Lake MI to Lake Superior. Obviously, I didn't ride the whole trail. We did win, though

Now in fall, I'll probably be in your area at the Brighton Recreation Area. My horse is well traveled

Praying for Boyd's Family here too!! I am sure the baby will be perfect! I am due on July 15th so I have been watching the weeks that a baby can be born and do well. From what my Dr says a baby that has no other health issues at this point will be small and may need NICU for a few days, but other than that should have no long term health problems!!! Wishing them well for a happy healthy baby!!
