Good morning!!!
thumbsup.gif
I have coffee brewing with hazelnut creamer to go with it.

Could not get my workout done yesterday due to pulling a muscle in my back this weekend. Today I got it in but took it easy. It's starting to feel a little better.

Gloomy rainy day! Guess I'll do housework instead of cleaning out the coops. That will have to wait until it stops raining. Try and enjoy the day. Beautiful kids, RIRJen.
Nice set up, eleanorkay, and pretty birds.

Snicker! The same thing has been happening at my house. I am SO ready for all the chickens to be laying eggs.

I all so would be interested in if there is a swap coming up. I am looking to thin out some of my roo and find a Speckled Sussex roo for my hen.

I will also be interested in the answer to the high white factor in the speckled Sussex.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Dawn

I may have a nicely marked roo for you if you're interested! I picked up a couple of young ones at a swap to bring in two more pullets and it's looking more like at least one is a roo. Let me know if you're interested!

Yes, I am Interested in one roo.

Is anyone going to this event or have been to a event like this? I have some Roos I would like to trade or sell but it is a long drive is it worth my time and gas? I have one Dominique Roo I would like to sale. I also have 3 sex linked or red star roos, and an undecided number of EE roo for sale, trade or just to find new homes. I also have a young serama hen that I would sell if I could find her the perfect home.

RIR, they are adorable!!! My daughter will be 12 weeks tomorrow! She weighed 12lb 3oz at her 2 month visit. I feel like my little baby is gone already. We will have Superman arms from lugging them around!

That costume is PERFECT! My 4 year old INSISTS that she is going to be Snow White and her little sister is going to be one of the dwarfs! I might try to figure out how to make a cute little girl dwarf costume.

Awwww! Yeah, my daughter is going to be a vampire this year and she wants her little brother to be a bat LOL. I couldn't find a bat costume at a reasonable price so we went with superman.

He looks so cute in it and it's nice and warm. Aaron is quite a chunker and even has a little baby double chin!

He is all smiles.

Hey, has anyone ever used those nipple waterers that you punch into the bottom of a 5gal bucket? I saw them in one of my magazines and wondered how easily a chicken would catch on to where the water is and how to use it.

I use those nipples!! OMG I LOVE THEM!!!!! We have one inside and one outside in the run. It is so great not to have yucky water!!! Every now and then I have to bring it in and clean out the green stuff, but I am sure that would be with any waterer. I didn't go with the 5 gallon bucket because they are so heavy. I actually used a tub that pretzels came in from Sam's Club! It has a lid and works great!! You can use and heavy plastic container as long as you can get your arm into it. Make sure to buy the push in ones if your are going to use it like that. The screw in ones are for PVC pipe waterers. They haven't leaked yet and we have had them since April. They are kind of hard to push in, but my hubby was able to do it. To teach them, I hung it up and tapped on them until water came out and got their attention. Then I just tapped it lightly until the water beaded up on it instead of dripping out. They loved it and it only took a few times for them to figure out that if THEY tap it they will get water! We are going to put an immersible bird bath heater in it for winter! MAKE SURE THAT YOU PUT A FEW SMALL HOLES IN THE LID!!! It will create a vacuum and you won't be able to get it off!!!

Hope this helps you!

I have been a few times but usually I just give away the extra roos. It is better than keeping them. I will be going as I have one more [Phoenix] roo that I want to re home.

Hello all,

I just received the heated water bowl that I bid for on ebay. Looks promising. I am excited.

Went to the dentist yesterday- I have been living on pain meds for two weeks, and antibiotics. They tried and tortured me and were unable to get my tooth numb. I got another prescription for additional antibiotics, and I will go back on Thursday for them to try again.
I will be getting a tooth pulled, and a root canal/post/crown on the one next to it. yay me

I hate going to the dentist.

My daughter has had the flu for four days now. She is still running a low-grade fever and feels like crap. I think I feel it coming on myself. HOW??? I have been so super-pumped on antibiotic that my body should be able to fight off allllllllll evil germs. (yeah, I know all about viruses and antibiotics and such, but still need to complain.)

I hope you are all having a great week. I hope Opa is having a great time wherever he is.

Its chilly and raining and seems my entire household has a case of the "slows".. haha.
