Amazing how excited we Michiganiacs get about 35 degrees!

I want to get some eggs in the 'bator the first weekend in March so I get chicks for spring break

I hope that warm weather pushes in fast!! It was -7 this morning, actual temps, not including wind chill and I hate to think how cold it was!

At least any cold snaps we get after it starts to warm up, won't last long. This has been a long, cold winter!

Wiley - Will the Fowlerville place do rabbits? I've been processing my own birds and rabbits, but if I get the chance to provide for, say a local resturant, I'd need to have them processed at a facility. Please let me know if you can!

Thanks for the "springy" message and picture Olive!! It may get to 40 by Wednesday up here the report said!! OMG......who would think I'd get this excited about being able to clean the coop?!!

I just want enough snow to melt so I can take my muck bucket full of chicken poo out to the compost heap.

It said it was 0 degrees this morning. Not sure with the wind chill what it really is but I left the cows and chickens in the barn today. Crazy birds were waiting by the door so they could go out!!!! I might open the doors after lunch.

My hubby just ordere 50 st run jersey giants so I will be cleaning out the brooder coop this weekend. Also hope to start hatching some eggs this week!!!

I hope enough snow melts so that the tractor can make it to the compost pile. We ended up dumping it right in front of the barn a few days ago. Drifts were to deep to get it to go farther.

Family Farm & Home in Richmond(586-727-4364) has baby chicks in. Oh they were adorable. I wanted them but the coop is not ready so I resisted!!!!! Thank goodness they didn't have any marans or I would have chicks in my basement!! lol

Oh Boy!!

I was at TSC today and they said they would have their at the end of the month.

Ohhh... I will be stopping at TSC at the end of the month TSC is a little more money on somethings (but I go there if I am already in Romeo) like chicken feed. lol I almost went there with my son but Armada grain was out of goat feed and TSC doesn't carry armada grains.
