Keyt I have some bantam cochin chicks and could bring some down to chickenstock. Let me know.

It was so hot today, I filled a little rubber black bucket up with cool water and put white beans in the bottom and then sat watching the chickens bob for beans..LOL. Seemed to help cool the gals off alot.
The kids and I wondered do chickens hold there breath?...lol....I also dug out under the coop some more they seem to really like the cold earth under there.
GAD I planted so many gourmet beans today, now im hoping they all come up OK. Dang black birds were right behind me trying to get my bean seeds. I tie white plastic bags on poles around my seeds it works for a little bit...
I am sun burnt dog tired and very pleased with the past weeks work.

Um maybe I'm nuts but can you feed them to chickens?... The tadpoles?
I wondered about feeder gold fish also just as a treat.

When we go fishing and catch fish that are too small we say "chicken bucket!" lol and come home with a bucket full of fish for everyone. Our neighbor throws in his leftovers when he cleans his fish. First time he did that it scared me because I saw big eyes sticking out of the mud, then he came out and said he threw them fish. Whew! lol

Aric's grandpa and great grandpa fed fish guts to their birds almost every day. His mom said it's amazing with all these people saying you MUST feed this or that to this or that bird when farmers fed their animals nothing close to the appropriate feed you buy in store. His grandpa also ate a pound of bacon and 4 eggs cooked in lard every morning and lived to be 88 yrs old! lol

can chickens get coccidosis from goats?

if so, what are the signs/symptoms?
