where in SE Michigan?? I have to go to Troy tomorrow, hubbys surgery, maybe I could make a run??
I have people with dogs who would split the cost with me.

What is sweet PDZ?

Nancy - Sweet PDZ is a horse stall freshener that absorbs moisture and neutralizes ammonia. Got this from the web: Zeolites were formed from volcanic activity millions of years ago, and it should be stressed, that all zeolites have unique characteristics and abilities. The clinoptilolite (Clino) that comprises Sweet PDZ is one of the very best at ammonia absorption
and odor neutralization.
I bought a 40# bag at Armada Grain Co. for $14. Also realized it would have been nice to give more info on Armada Grain Co. It is at 73180 Fulton, Armada, MI 48005. Phone # 586-784-5911.

I had to force two very wet cockerals into the coop tonight. There is even a roost under the covered side of the run and they still chose to roost out in the thunder lightening and rain. They seem to have a few tomatoes missing from the bushel.

Sweet PDZ is amazing. Like I said in a previous post...I just happened upon it and LOVE IT. My fly issues are gone and my coop doesn't smell (except for the nest boxes they like to roost on at night which still are standing). That and DE is my "secret sauce" of my coop.

I asked for Stall Dry at my local elevator and they only had this. It helps keep your coop dry and free of flies. It's AWESOME.

Hillbilly Hen, you have the prettiest chickens around, I love the pictures.

I only got one egg yesterday, what on earth..I hope we dont have a problem on our hand, hoping our numbers are back up today. Usually we get at least 6 eggs a day.

Momma hen still wont let me touch her two babies, I was going to take a picture last night but we had a minor episode with my Lav. Orp and I totally forgot (he was laying on the floor under the feeder like he was dead, I picked him up and he turned and looked at me...so I put him in a safe place with some food and water, went back in after I milked my goats and he was running around like nothing was wrong...weird...he still acting fine today, I hope it was a fluke thing and hes not coming down with anything, I noticed his comb and beak look so super pale...what could be going on??? any suggestions would be much welcome)

The skunk ambushed you right? I can't believe that you would willing go into hand to hand combat.

Yes that hydrogen mixture works like a charm but I need to really know how in the world you came into this predicament. :: snort :: :: serious look ::

Here is an old farm remedy for skunks. Put Ex Lax in solid form in your garden or where ever you saw the skunk. The skunk will eat it and they won't return to your property. Just make sure your pets don't eat it. That is what I read.
