Thanks for the replies everyone.

The 'juvies' hang out by themselves, except when they
try to burrow in under our broody Buff Orp (that's a sight)!

Today it'll be three days, so I am hoping it'll settle a bit.

Our coop is 8x12 with nesting boxes stacked vertical along
one short wall and a 3x8 'shelf' about 4 ' high on the other
wall. Their run is kind of odd shaped, but I believe we used
150' of wire to fence it off.

They get treats every day (weeds out of the garden,
and some of our wildly speading violets) along with their
mash (from the local elevator) and kitchen scraps.

Guess we'll just ride it out.

All this for a new boyfriend for them

Theron, we hit the St Louis swap once in a while (I am about
10 miles west of there).

That was quite a storm that blew through here last night. It was the first time I ever looked at the color radar imaging and saw purple. I guess it is the color of the most intense rainfall and when you realize such a large swatch of it is located directly over your head you immediately start thinking about what to do if the power fails.

This sign was leaning against our RV that is being converted into a mobile chicken coop by my DH and a Florida friend visiting. They are nuts! It is almost done now...won't be "pretty" inside but should be functional!

Sorry...I see it has been removed! It was a sign saying that the "chicken coop union builders were protesting against long labor hours!" I think I can only post one picture daily (?) and I posted a photo on the Imported chicken page so that must have bumped this one!

If you sell your sebbies and still want them just shoot me a message, if they're still here we can work something out.

If you absolutely, positively, want them without a shadow of a doubt and really couldn't bear the thought of me selling or butchering them... I'll hold them... but I'm going to have to require a no-refundable deposit and a time frame.

IME you can integrate just about any age as long as they have lots of space. With my free-range flock I literally have day olds with 3 year olds and not a lick of problems. But that stops the second they're confined and gets worse the more confined they are. If you just introduced them I'd give it a little time and see if they calm down. But if they've been together for a bit and it doesn't you may either have to separate them until all are adults or give them more space -- either expand the pen or let them free range a bit. I definitely would like them. How is their personality? And have they had any babies themselves? For some reason we are not having the best of luck selling our sebbies. We have about 10 that we need to sell and we have only sold one pair so far. The sad thing is we have been trying to sell them for dirt cheap and still no one wants them.
P.S. Where are you located? I read that you are in Mid-Michigan. We are from the Midland area. Just wondering how far away you are located.
