I have some chicken equipment I could stand to part with so thought I'd post here and see if anyone wants it before I put it on CL. All is in great shape, most just like new or showing only slight signs of use. We just don't use these smaller sized things anymore. They're from back when we first started with chickens and/or times when we had small, separate flocks. Things have evolved in our production to where we simply don't have that anymore so have no use for these things.

I have:

(2) 1 gallon poultry drinkers. $4 each. (Retails for $6.99 at TSC)

(2) 7 lb Hanging Poultry Feeders. $8 each. (Retails for $11.99 at TSC)

(2) 20 inch Chick Feeders. $2 each. (Retails for $5.99 at TSC)

$25 for all of it. We're in Mid-Michgan, about an hour north of Lansing. I'm in Lansing regularly so could meet up there, too.

AngelaB- I'm going to have to agree with all the others, based on coloring and those hackle feathers, especially those hackle feathers, I'm going with boy. I had an EE with much the same coloring and thought he was beautiful.

You do know geese don't need water to swim in, right? Just to dunk their bills. A five gallon pail works really well in the winter months. They will sit around it and preen and dunk, but they can't get in it to dirty it up so it lasts longer. One pail can be used for drinking and cleaning since they're not pooping in it.

I use a heated 5 gal pail also. To clean themselves they just go in a snow bank.
I do have a hook in the wall with a carbiner holding the pail in place just to keep the goosers from knocking it over. Homer gets excited

I just finished winterizing part of the main coop......going to start digging tons of Dahlia tubers in a week or so.....and the first of next month, the rams get to go in with my ewes...... I have 4 broody hens sitting on eggs.....3 Pyncheons and 1 Silkie....going to try and get some early chicks for the show season next year. Leaves have all dropped...no color up here at all....Winter is around the corner.

What a weekend! Holy wind!

Roger has been splitting his time between my flock and the neighbors flock of younger chickens. He just can't make up his mind which yard he's going to be in. He's still really PO'ed at me and bites me everytime I pick him up, but then just hangs out with me while I am in the yard. I should just call them love pecks, but I swear he was trying to flay my hand today. I swear he has MPD. LOL. Silly guy. He is getting better though, being with the others and my big roo isn't as interested in him anymore. Still threatens to put him in his place, but he isn't actively trying to kick his butt. YAY!

I have been getting good eggs again. Buffy started laying in the coop again, so that makes me happy. Have gotten eggs from her 4 out of the last 5 days. YUMMY YUMMY EGGS!

Time to close up the coop... Have a great night all.

Pretty boy Angela... I'd steal him, but I have to many roos as it is. LOL
