Theron just left my house with a dog crate full of Muscovy hens and one drake. He's a happy boy now for sure.

3 eggs here. From 15 hens, if you count the banties. 4 for sure are not laying yet, the others are just Slackers!

How about a crowing rooster photo contest? We can always have another later for those unfortunate enough not to enjoy owning the living feathered alarm clock - predator warning system - chick making dudes.

OH, that'd be fun! I have been wanting to try and get Mr Fluffers crowing. He's got a nice beauty of a crow...

Oh, for anyone interested in getting coop handmade by a good builder, check out this website
http://wismerwoodworks.com
ONLY A WARNING, please look at his dimensions and not at the number he says they will hold. I did recommend to him that he needed to change the numbers on his descriptions as he has grossly over numbered the amount of birds. Example, has a large coop thats 6x4 floor base, that what... 24 sq ft... and says up to 14 birds... SAY WHAT? Nope... 4-6 birds... Just keep in mind that though. Otherwise they are really wonderful coops and I think come spring, I know where I am going instead of building a new one on my own!

Be careful of that turkey taking advantage of the pullet. Krisrose's turkey really injured one of her hens doing the deed.
Oh, how I hate this darkness. good night, sleep tight........

Hello Everyone! I wanted to see if anyone on here is interested in Poultry/Rabbit cages? Here's a picture of what I have. I'm asking $15 each (2-cage unit) or $65 for all 5 cages (5 cages = 10 cages because there's two compartments per cage) These are the types of cages that sit on plywood or some type of flooring or you can just set them on the ground. PM me if you're interested or have questions!

It is kinda hard to take a picture of a wire cage lol...if you need different pictures let me know. Each cage has to compartments that are each 20.5x20.5x21" tall.

***I did modify this because I had written it wrong, I'm sorry for the mistake.***

Good luck selling the cages Jen. I have all I need.

Regarding mismatched mating...The turkey needs glasses. I have a wyndotte roo that took a shine to a little Serama hen of mine. I literally had to beat the desire for her right out of him. It required a lot of time out with the flock but every time he went anywhere near her, I would run up, grab him and slam him to the ground. It only took three days but now he only has eyes for the big girls.

The hose was frozen this morning and I am thinking a wagon or sled for hauling water this winter might be in order.
