Maybe it's the day for noise. I woke up a little before 5:00 and I could hear the BLA singing her egg song. Not long after that, the big girls were out of the coop and making a ruckus. Not an alarm call, just noise.

Sun finally comes up and I go out to see who did what. The BLA that was singing was Gravy, the smaller of the two. Why are the smallest always the loudest?

Sam may be talking of Chickenstock, but I'm the one that reserves the space, so without me there is no chickenstock! So be nice to me, at least until Jan when I can get the spot reserved.

I asked my friend (with no chickens) what her husband said about watching my flock for 3 months.....she hasn't asked him yet. (he's a tad grouchy and she is waiting for a "good mood".) If she can't take them...I have the option of using my RV coop and hauling to my friend WITH a flock...who has already said he'd do it.....or....selling them. I'm not sure I can bring myself to sell them:( I may just let him do the caretaking and hope his flock is healthy and that he won't get nasty bacteria clinging to his clothes when he feeds mine. If I do decide to sell...I'll send you a message. (just not thinking I can do it right now).
