Thats just it! She's litterally only just grown, I mean he has only just grown them darn tail feathers in the last 2 weeks, and the wattle and comb... BOOM! There they were! I mean, I saw them coming in, but just like my girls, only really came in the last 2 weeks. He is very pretty, and is still a favorite, cuz he's the most curious next to Miss Legs.

Oh I wish that would happen too. My son was going to come put a fence up for me but the rain that was not supposed to be here till tonight was already falling this morning.
I finally finished getting all the plastic up on the protected area. I then put plastic poultry fence over top of that stretched tight to help keep the plastic from blowing to hard.
I been working on it after work, so only about an hour a day to do it. Has taken 4 days. I will give finished photo tomorrow. I know the roof is flat, but Its also only as tall as I am, so scraping snow off will not be a problem.
What would take an egg out from under a broody hen and not mess with the chickens? If it were summer I would think a snake. My broody hen has lost her egg. The egg chirpped at me yesterday and it was still in the nest last night when I locked up. This morning it was gone with no sign of it anywhere. It was due to hatch Monday.
