Evening everyone! What a great day!

Leila is still on 6 eggs. They are 3 dotte crosses, one fav silkie cross, 1 ee fab and the other is the Cochin mutt cross. I think there may be too many. She's only a tiny thing and when I check tomorrow and make her come out to eat, I think I will take out which ever 2 are the coolest to the touch. It will only be the beginning of day 3 then, so there shouldn't be much in the way of development. I will boil them up and give them to the others. I will get a picture later.

Roger is all alone now. Buffy has abandoned him for the coop. Poor boy.

I asked earlier, but no one answered, should I give Leila a heat lamp, or just a regular bulb to warm her little coop? I will take a picture of her "house". It would add warmth to the cop for her, but since she's in a nest box, it wouldn't be to bright as the nest box is a sterlite tote with a hole in it. The other girls are ticked off that its missing by the way. Have to make another now. Lol

the ducks have put a nice new hole in the pen. This one right on the fence line. Great. The dogs figure out it is there, can you say bye bye duckies. They are so... Well they are lucky they are cute and entertaining or I'd have to get rid of their free loading poop generating rears.

I gave What's bones to the girls to pick over. Omg, vanna went nonsense and I think I may have made a chicken hungry chicken out of her. She didn't want to share. Once she got a wing remnant off thou, she was happy enough to let the others join. Real scary stuff that...

Nova I wouldn't provide that broody with any additional heat. If she is in a draft free environment that should be sufficent.

Thanks Opa, I have a clf light in there now. provides NO HEAT.
Sorry about pic quality. Cell phone doesn't always take the clearest. Its old... almost on the verge of being a POS. LOL

Here is Leila

And here is the broody house. I was going to use this as a brooder box anyway, and then grow out coop. LOL.

Its the first coop I had for when I first got my silkies and my 2 leghorn pullets... Worked great. I also had my wyandottes in there a few weeks later. SO, I ended up having 10 chicks in a 12 sq foot space for while. Thank got they free ranged and I had the new coop built before they got too big. LOL.

Nova....looks like Leila has a nice little set up. Wonder how many she'll hatch? Sounds like you got a nice little mix there.

I left her a message that you were asking about her here on BYC- hopefully she will check in.

My kids and I joined Planet Fitness-

not for me to get in shape, no way no how- Im old enough now that I don't have to care if my parts are tone and fit, lol.
I would like to be able to MOVE however without consequences.
I walked the treadmill.
That is ALL I did.
I did not run on the treadmill, I did not walk for miles and miles. I simply walked at a decent pace for about fifteen minutes. Then I sat in the massage chair. lol, while the kids worked out.

TWO days worth of pain and misery in my neck, causing a headache, making me feel like certainly I am going to have to go get a decapitation. I have really bad arthritis in my neck and shoulders. I am aware of this. I also believe I have fibromyalgia though i cant get a doctor to make that diagnosis- they would rather think i am a big crybaby.
But seriously, all I did was walk on a treadmill and hold on to the rail that monitors heart rate.

Its ridiculous. I just didnt want to be a slug forever. Just move a little. I move all day at work, wrestle dogs, etc. SO why did a treadmill kick my butt so ridiculously? Of course, work kicks my butt, which is another reason why I would like to be able to move from the slug stage to say,,,um, robot stage.

So, today the kids and I conducted an experiment.
I walked a mile on the treadmill and did not hold on to the rails at all. ( I DID, however, have to look down at the controls on the d*mn thing to make sure it didnt make me climb a hill at rocket speed)..
We will see if I am suffering in pain tomorrow- or if I survived.
You are supposed to be active with arthritis,,,but how can that happen if simple exercise causes so much suffering?

Okay, enough pity party..had to get it out, though.

Does the gym have a pool? A warm pool that is. Swimming/walking back and forth in a warm/therapy style poop is so much better for you than a treadmill. It provides the resistance, but also take the impact off the joints. And if you have fibro like you think, its even good for that.

Holding on to the handles will cause you to have tension/jarring in your neck. Don't hold on if you can help it. Walk just under 3 mp so its easier to keep balance on it. Or about 2.6 at incline of 1-2 if you wanna get your heart rate up.

Personally, if you can, do a pool based exercise. Its much easier on your body, but still gives a great work out with out hurting.

no pool there.

Which I was aware of- but for ten dollars a month, cant really complain.
Last night I slept in the chair instead of bed because laying down (lying? down) caused my head to throb..thought it would explode. Much much better today.

I told my husband I needed a Jacuzzi for therapy reasons, but he just laughed and told me to keep dreaming.
