Haven't tried the Kaytee blend, but I saw it at the store the other day, too, and wondered if it was ok to buy for the crew.

What a day. Weather couldn't make up its mind. I got rained on, pelted at, and snowed on while working. It quit as I got done and then on my way home I noticed my area got quite a bit more snow than at work. Right now it blowing so hard the snow is drifting and I understand we are to get more tonight so school isn't looking too promising for tomorrow.

I sold 3 dozen eggs yesterday. And now have a standing order for as many as I can spare.
The hens still aren't paying for themselves, but I didn't get them to get rich.

Definitely a crappy day for driving around with the window down! I was glad to be done today.

Eta: So today when I .went to collect eggs, I expect to have 5... Nope. 3. Wth is that about, so I check under aster, who despite having her poor head in the wrong spot, took it better than yesterday. She now has 6 eggs. Oh man. Well, I went and got a pencil, marked the now 6 eggs, and moved her out of the favorite nest box and into the smaller box. She settled right down after she realised her eggs were in there with her. So, now I hope the others do not try and get in that one too.

I had ALL the chickens in the garage today. Yeah. I ended up having to pick up Mr fluffers and carried him back. I guess he did not like the wind knowingly his tail feathers. Veena, she realized he was gone, and walked herself back. Vanna and Vonna felt the need to make me chase them, but I finally got them carried back also. I left Skeeter and Scatter in the garage with Roger.

I also can not get aster to drink. I was able to get her to eat up the fresh grapes. Think she will get enough water with them? I am going to try soaking bread peices too. She is eating thou. I am able to feed her. I bet by the time she is homogeneity this whole ordeal, she will be more friendly. I think she is getting it thru her little pea brain that I am not trying to hurt her. Silly chicken.

Trust me, so was I!
I had to do a route today that included walking 2 different apartment buildings so I got soaked at the first one (felt and looked like a drowned rat) and pelted on at the second. Then toward the end when it decided to snow good, I was SO COLD! In fact, I'm still freezing even though we have a small heater in our room for extra heat.

Just started snowing again here. We haven't had much, an inch here or there. Nothing that has stuck around with the warm temps and rain that we've had lately.
