Have one, LOVE IT! Low wattage. Low fire risk. Babies are very happy and warm with it! I wish I had more of them, but they are kinda costly.

YAY! Yes costly! Right now if you use the code 'whisper' without the quotes, it gives you ten percent off- but its the shipping charges that kill me...

You guys are so chatty , I will be late or work ,cause I had to read last nights posts.
Wow, Newton looks a lot like a faverolle! Was he an ee x faverolle? Freaking pretty boy!
RaZ, that's why I got rid of him, my water dog that is... The cost of minnows was getting ridiculous!

I have a question for you all to give me your opinion on. I have a broody silkie. Its the one who is notorious for sitting until a week before hatch, and then abandoning her eggs. I have showgirl eggs due to hatch in 9 days. Meaning she would be sitting eggs for a total of 11 days. Do I give her these eggs? Think its a bad idea/good idea?
My sizzle has also gone broody. In a different area...and my frizzle is considering going broody. i should be getting eggs from Theron today- I could also break those up for the three broodies and they would be due at the same time.
How should I do this?

Hi All, I am froma small town in the U.P. called Engadine (its at the eastern end) anyone else from around here?

Welcome to our insanity. The number of pages that accumulate in a day is nothing short of incredible and for good reason. This thread is populated by nice folks.

How many remember the Sunny Elliot weather forecasts? He often had to point out where Engadingadine was located.

Thanks for laughs this morning guys.....it put me in a even better mood than I was already in.

All this talk and pics of hatching chicks really makes me wish I had the equipment & time to devote myself to the task. And the pics of the lambs & calves really makes want to start hounding my DH to build that barn out back!!

Question to those in Northern MI....My uncle wants to gets some chickens in the spring. He had a small flock last year but culled them or
re homed them because he was gone for the winter. Would any of you have pullets available to sell? I think he's basically looking for good dual purpose birds. He lives in Emmet County and loves to drive...lol If any of you Northerners would be willing please PM me.

Yay Mom, too cool.

And I would not put any eggs under a broody that has been unreliable, especially if they have any monitary value.

Jen couldn't find you post but yay for the new chicks

Oh man you guys made my morning. HAHA...

So my new bunny really knows how to throw a hissy fit. He ate all his food and water so my husband goes to fill his water dish and Clark promtly smacked it, then tossed it so that the water went everywhere. :/ I am glad I came in when I did becuase my darling husband was going to refill the water dish. :: smacks forehead ::

I gently suggested that maybe Clark wanted food.

Clark remained calm for the rest of the evening after getting more food (little piggy).

When I have Clark out the Bichons sneak into is crate to much munch on his alfalpha and flowers.
