I was up every 2 hours checking on him, so I'm a bit tired today, possibly more so than he is. He has discovered he can climb! He's sitting on top of the fluffy chick toy I put inside. Tipped it over, then climbed up the head to its butt. Silly duckie! [/COLOR]

not looking forward to the snow... Nope. Gotta work in it. Last nite sucked too. I deliver to elderly condos. Nearly every one needs to be at the door. It rained, snowed, and froze before I left for work. Hiss to take hot water out with me to get the jeep open, de ice the window. Low heat wasn't doing it. Lol. But that black top in the condos.... Fell on the ice, and decided that as close to the stoop was how it was going to be except for the ones that need it hung on knobs. My knee, ankle and shoulder ache big tim.

Morning all...this morning 2 of the final 3 were pipped. Hoping to get the next batch in tonight! I have to get some pictures tonight of one of the chicks...not sure on the color but I think it might be a buff. I have a "black" rooster out there that I think it actually a hidden partridge so he's leaving the coop asap! I don't need him messing with my colors!

Tsk, tsk. Partridge is the most superior of all chicken colors, dontchaknow?

I'm not saying I can't appreciate a nice partridge...but I don't like them and they mess with the blacks so he must leave!

I want some nice clean colors out of the silkies. I'm also working on building my Speckled Sussex flock back up...kinda got out but I miss them. I saw some at this persons house on M99 in Eaton Rapids....wondering if they were some of mine I sold at chicken stock...

The Weatherbug report is for my area. You would never know to look outside. Bright, sunny sky without a cloud in sight. Temp sitting at 40 and all chickens are out in the run. Even the Uggos are out with the big girls. It's more noticeable outside that Lemon is growing bigger than Pepper. I'll have to take a few pictures before I go to school.

I hope the snow holds off until after school. I don't mind it so much but there are way too many idiots on the road that can't drive in foul weather.

Last time I fell on ice, in my driveway, ended up with 2 stitches in the back of my head and a concussion. Still have a lump, probably sign of a hematoma under the skull if they took an MRI (yeah, watch way too many shows featuring medical examiners!). After that I bought a cheap pair of rubber boots at Tractor Supply and DH screwed 3/8th inch hex head screws into the soles. Got to use boots with soles thick enough you don't penetrate past the final rubber layer. Haven't fallen since.

Good morning Michigan! I hope all those that are fighting sickness are well soon

I am just getting over a bout of pneumonia myself only to wake up with my sinuses congested this morning. I told DH that he did not need to share. I think a nice big pot of chicken soup sounds good for times like this.

Nova, you be careful, get yourself some ice grippers or something!
