I'm trying to jump start the Easy Garden Michigan thread over on the sister site if anyone is interested. It's been woefully neglected. So come on over if anyone wants to talk gardening because they're freshly poultry'd out!

Good for you. Hope I can scratch up some time.
The problems are frightful , yet we need to learn remedies for the illnesses , to say nothing of the illnesses themselves. Forewarned is fore armed. Keep learning and don't worry. Though I know I suffered from most of the maladies studied inOh crap. I found a thread with a link to this site http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044
and besides MG and MS there are a huge number of diseases! Make me almost want to stick my head in the sand and give up poultry raising.
But not quite yet.
abnormal psych many years ago, no one has been able to prove any of it.

FingerHut... Not that other word! Sheesh.![]()
Never heard of Finger Hut.
Sounds to me that your motivation was more than commercial or financial. ( As you sometimes seem to say,to me.) wasn't love involved ? Common confess. lol ( now, this does mean to not take this too seriously, right? ) I just mean you are really a kind and friendly person, me thinks.A hair dryer can do wonders for quickly warming up a cold baby. Just make sure you wave it around so it doesn't get too hot. One spring we got a crazy, heavy rainstorm in the middle of the night that flooded our brooder coop at the time. It was filled with 150 CX chicks at the time. DH went out to check on them at 5am before heading to work and they were soaked, cold and lifeless. He ran in, woke me up and went back out to get them with a laundry basket. He piled them in and brought them in where I'd laid towels on the floor in our bathroom. I got a hand dryer for each hand and as he laid them out on the towels I started warming. Any that showed any sign of life -- which was often nothing more than a shallow breath -- got stayed on the towels until I'd dried it completely. Most came back to life. And ended up making it.
fifteen babies hatched out total last night.
They are so cute. Got black, yellow, grey, and some are very tiny, some have fuzzy feet some have fuzz on just their legs..pictures later.
And none of them are red, blue, or pink........

DittoGood morning Michigan! I hope all those that are fighting sickness are well soonI am just getting over a bout of pneumonia myself only to wake up with my sinuses congested this morning. I told DH that he did not need to share. I think a nice big pot of chicken soup sounds good for times like this.![]()
Nova, you be careful, get yourself some ice grippers or something!
Congrats on all the chicks and ducks!
Grippers work. I got some for ice fishing, and back when I did that they saved my butt many a time.
Yeah, that too.
