Good Morning, friends.

Raz- good luck with the ducklings. Im sorry you lost so many. I was pondering the duckling/duck/suburban thing. You should get ahold of sevenchickens and get some muscovies from her. They dont quack, so therefore neighbors dont hear them.
Sorry, I don't much care for muscovies. I like the idea of the mallards because they are wild. Once in the yard, nobody can say anything about them being there.

Unfortunately, the one I was worried about died during the night. The remaining 4 seem to be doing well. I'm going to TSC in a bid for Chick-Saver to have on hand, if needed. The question now is which store to go to? Both are about a 30 mile trip. I think I should call ahead and see which one has BSL chicks and then go to the other one.

I think I'll take my "cata-healer" with me to give my GR a break. Poor Maggie has another rod infection in her ear and Bella will not stop licking the sore ear.

I really need to concentrate on this mid-term exam.

Wow, stay away for a day and then spend half a day trying to read all the new posts. Got up yesterday to discover no internet. Checked the phone and they weren't working. Turns out that the junction box on the side house had come open allow water to hit the phone wire contacts and shorted it out.

AT&T came out and repaired the problem but then for the rest of the day I could log on to the internet, get into a site, but then when I would try to do something it wouldn't load and gave me a time out error message. Today it seems to be working fine. Go figure.

Now I sitting here wait for AT&T to come out again and install a new modem to upgrade my service from DSL to UVERSE which supposedly is twice as fast. Let's hope.

I've got my fingers crossed that the rain holds off until later today. I need 2 or 3 hours more to finish butchering, no make that pruning, the apple trees. Then the worst part begins. Cleaning up all the branches.

Snow's only supposed to be M-46 north, Mix I-96 north, and rain south. And 50s-60s next week! Woot!

Chicken Grandma, I love to be hugged just not enough of that going around. My sister does not like to be touched had to do with our up bringing but I still hug the stuffin's out of her when I see her, lol

Well, I wanted to share a photo this morning, but my camera just refuses to upload to my computer. I need a newer model, but DH is being such a hold-out about it. Anyway, I was getting ready to go to bed last night and was checking the doors and looked out into the mudroom where the outdoor cats sleep at night and found a surprise visitor. There was a big possum in there just making himself at home. I watched him for a bit as he had some dinner and tried out the cat bed. Mind you, 2 of the cats were out there just watching him.

Um, cats, aren't you supposed to be something about this?

If I can get the photo to upload, it's the darn tree rat getting comfy in the cat bed.

Taprock & grandma- your d'uccles are so nice looking. Grandma, I'm glad you were able to have your Bobbi for as long as you did and that things turned out how you wanted with your very pretty daughter.

Going to be a wandering day. DH and I are just going to motor around and see what's what. Stop to a few TSC's maybe. I told DH about the Jersey Giants Rbahmer scored and he was ready to go for a trip, but then decided that with our luck they would be all gone before got to those stores. Oh well, we'll see.

Have a good day everyone.

I meant to tell you that I have a chipper. I can bring it along when I come to get the wood and I can help you clean up the branches and twigs.

Yesterday I saw a coon go strolling from behind the coops over to a big tree I seen them in quite often. Set the traps last night and this morning was able to eliminate one masked bandit from the neighborhood fauna.
