To whupped to stay up tonight. Got up at 4 am to start my running, and found out that i had 2 after school events too, the last one didn't get done until 7. I have a newfound respect for the true soccer moms.

After getting home from school I went out to check on the hens. Turned on the garage lights and went in the coop to gather up a couple of eggs.
The big hens roost on one end of the 8 foot board and the little girls are at the opposite end.

Anyway, Lemon (Uggo) jumped down from the roost into a nest box and started a low, purring cluck sound. Naturally, I have to give her a light grope and she attempts to do a big girl squat. Not quite the same posture as the big hens but a pretty good try for a teenage girl. The Uggos are about 14 weeks old now, maybe she will be an early layer.

I am officially a true chicken freak. LOL. I stopped at a complete strangers house just to ask them about a hen I saw in his yard. It was a BA, but had to be one of the biggest ones I have seen. She was so full and pretty!

NO, I am not going to go and get some now. In babygyrls word... Just saying...

Just checking... anyone affected by the tornado that hit Dexter tonight? We had a couple ugly clouds go over us, and the sky got really funky, light wise between cells.

Wow! Tornados...

Check this out... I have not idea how I could possibly get this to my house... Its a dog house, but WE all know it wouldn't be a dog house for long...

its 4x4x6 with 2feet of porch. 389 smackaroos. Its also fully insulated, top, sides and floor!

Nova that looks too fancy for a coop!
Plus I would cut a few giant holes in it for ventilation and cross breeze, other wise if this weather keeps up it will be like an oven in there.
