Stacykins- so sorry about your dog. Cherish the wonderful memories of your boy and know that with you he had the best life ever.

Just checking... anyone affected by the tornado that hit Dexter tonight? We had a couple ugly clouds go over us, and the sky got really funky, light wise between cells.
Just before my second class, people were saying a bad storm rolled through Jackson. Then as we were starting our mid-term, people were getting text messages that a tornado tore through Dexter. About half-way through the test, thunder and wind were shaking the building. Made it difficult to concentrate on the exam.

I hope everyone got through the storm unscathed. Here in Garden City, there wasn't much other than rain by the time I got home.

BTW, I found this link on the Michigan RTFA page.

I'll be taking a copy to the ordinance officer tomorrow.

Anyone notice the mosquito's were out in full force yesterday! Buggers!
OMG they were so nasty! Today too, I have about 15 bites that are itching like crazy.

Stacykins I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

So yesterday I let my peeps run around in the yard for about an hour for the first time. They had an absolute ball after the figured out where the hell they were after the first 5 minutes lol. They were pecking everything and even ate a few mosquitos, yay! Took them out tonight for a bit too, they had fun again. I cant believe how fast they grow!

We didn't get any rain here, though the clouds this afternoon looked like it wanted to. All the chickens were out all day so they were pretty happy. I saw a few of them going towards the back of the property, but everyone was accounted for this evening.

I decided to put one of the girls in with Neil to see how it would go. He scared her at first due to his over-eagerness when she went in, but I think he figured that out as he quickly backed off and let her be. They made friends, though, and were side by side most of the day.

Then I took my youngest daughter to tsc in Cedar Springs. They didn't have anything I wanted, but she saw a silkie and tried and tried to get me to buy it. I wanted to get it for her, but I didn't want any of the others so it was a no go. We went to ff&h on Plainfield after that came away with 2 'aracauna/ee', 2 isa browns, 1 australorp, and 1 whitish yellow chick that I have no clue what it is. I guess in time we'll see. In the meantime, that particular chick has pasty-butt. Yuck.

eta- I was going to take a pic and see if the new cord for my camera worked, but my oldest daughter decided the camera belonged in her school locker better than at home. Sheesh, teens.

Stacykins- So sorry about your dog. :(

We just had sun in the morning, then it clouded over for a few hours, then the sun came back out. No storm here.

I had set my Emu eggs at 4 pm!!! Can't wait until they hatch in 50 days! Woot!

For all the chick purchases, egg buying & hatching going on....Just out of curiosity, how many coops do some of you guys have?

Stacey, Losing any pet is difficult but losing a dog is different. It's losing a companion, a treasured friend but never just a pet. I am very sorry for your loss.

Oh yeah, I did that also today. 200 questions and they tried to make them tricky. Sigh. Hopefully I got most of them right........

What subject? Mine was GIS and many of the questions were memorization questions of what specific features the software had available hidden within the user tabs. Nobody memorizes that junk!
