I have two BR roos that are 11 months old and I need to rehome them. There are pics in my profile that were taken this winter. One is a huge regular darker grey barred and the other slightly smaller light gray barred. They have lived together since birth, had no health issues, and been well taken care of. I'm hoping someone would want a roo, or two for their flock. I'm in the Muskegon/Twin Lake area. PM me if interested.

P.S. I need to make room for more pullets and I need their coop to start the new chciks in.

It was nice! not doing a thing. HOWEVER! I really should have cleaned up the house. So, have to do it now.

I got my pots... Gonna fill em with soil... Gonna start seeding...

Ok, I read somewhere that I would need to double plant to ensure germination this year, since I purchased the seeds last year, did not use them all. Is this true? I went over to the easy garden, only it will not let me log in... So, asking here instead. I have plenty of seeds to do this if necessary.

Ummm I just got more chicks at TSC.

They are to go under another broody hen. I'm not willing to put my new babies I paid so much for out under her. I didn't tell anyone. We'll see how long they go unnoticed or should I say before I get in trouble.

I think mine ingested some of their bedding. I didn't have problems before (last year) We now have the 3 reminding 4 week olds on straw. I also have my 2 week olds on straw, in a separate cage & heat lamp.

Well I am not getting anything done today. Woke up with severe pain in my foot/ankle this morning. It has been bothering me since Wednesday. Tylenol doesn't even begin to touch the pain. Then it occurs to me. I've had this pain before...Gout.

So I called a friend to take me to the clinic. Got a shot and some prescriptions. Now I'm just waiting for the hydrocodon to kick in. I'll do a quick check on the duckies and see if I got any eggs and then it is TV day. I think a "Glee" marathon is in order.

eta: I am glad that I have kept a pair for all these years. Checked the ducks, gave them some peas and grumble and gathered eggs. Gravy, my BLA has been a machine lately, an egg a day for the last 8 days and 12 out of 14 days.
I feel guilty for not doing anything. But only a little.

Well....number 4 just died in my hands..... My husband dissected her. Her bladder was stretched full. She couldn't empty it. I think he must have drank a little pine shavings in the water. Thy must all have. It is my fault, I should have put the water higher.

So sorry, AngelaB. I have noticed that the waterer gets full of shavings even when it is elevated due to the pecking order disputes.
