Oh gracious Jaime! I was PM-ing you back on my touchpad, set it down outside in the jeep, got Jace on the bus, came back in the house and FORGOT IT! LOL...

taprock, only once did I have an issue with cocci. I always feed the medicated starter. But sometimes I will put a container of sand in the brooder for the chicks to "bathe" in. The chicks that got cocci looked all puffed up and were shaking and not acting right. I went right away and added the corrid to their water. Only three of them showed signs of it but I treated all of the chicks. I also banded the ones that were showing signs of having it. They got better quickly and today you cannot tell who had it.One day a Polish egger may be the "in" thing!
Here is mysituation. I'll take any advice. I have 16 - six week old chicks. Half were hatched here and half were day olds I bought. They are all on pine shavings and being fed medicated feed. They have been inside the whole time. Today I found bloody poop not a lot but enough to make me nervous. I talked to the MSU vet and was told I don't need to give them medicine because the medicated feed is the same thing. He also thought it was doubtful it was Cocci. However, he didn't offer any suggestions of what else causes bloody poop. I'm a worrier so I put Corid in their water as it directed. Can they get Cocci on medicated feed? What else could it be? Only two act a little sleepy, but with the chicks it seems there is always someone who looks sleepy at any given time.![]()
Juise, beautiful pictures of your girls. I wish I had half your creativity and imagination.
I did not know that was called Jack-in-the-pulpit... I was excited to see it coming up again in the same spot this year. I had never seen it before! My BF has orchids and we have always been intrigued by different flowers.
Has no problem herding the barn cats.
Juise: Your May Day looked a lot more fun than ours! Your kids are adorable and I am going to steal those May Day basket ideas for next year.
I am tempted to paint my WC... I gotta a big fan. Boy could that room use it. Hmmmm.
I replied that it seems I have had a whole gambit of things happen already.
Just just home with 40 feet of stockade fence from the big box store. I had 4 panels unloaded and propped up against Crabby's fence when she and her husband came home. They both walked by and didn't even look that way. I wonder if they even saw the panels.![]()

Now it is beer-thirty and time to mow. I think I'll use the tractor...it has a cup-holder.
It's 6 foot tall, Crabby is 5'2" so she'll never be able to get her nose over the fence. LOL I should have done that when she first showed signs of menopause.Lol. How tall is your new fence? Man, I wish our lawn tractor would work. I wish I knew what was wrong with the stupid thing. No, instead I have to putz around with the push mower with a baby strapped to me and no beer.
I like beerAlso I'm a sucker for beer.
Also don't say 5'2" like it's short.
Farmerboy, I love the pictures, don't stop posting them! The photos of the cows in the woods are so pretty, it looks like lovely land. Your mystery flowers wild geraniums and false rue anemone.
(Unless Raz says they aren't)
X2
I am quite jealous of where you live.
I think there might be both types of rue anemone in the picture. The False Rue Anemone is a good bit taller and the leaves are deeply lobed and occur in sets of 3. Rue anemone grow to about 4 inches high, their leaves are groups of 5 to 8, just below the flowers.
If you are out in the woods or swamps, a good book to have is "Wildflowers of Michigan Field Guide" by Stan Tekiela. It's small enough to carry in a pocket and groups the flowers by colour.
Olive - I have a Border Collie. She is 3 years old now. She actually is very smart. She was out herding sheep with me and 2 of the older ewes sent her flying when she didn't expect it. She ran out of the sheep pen and now when I take her in there to herd them she hides behind me. It's like she's saying " hit her, not me " LOL. Needless to say she is back at the trainers right now being re-trained. I do love her though. She is an awesome dog. Has no problem herding the barn cats.
Nice job on the coop Silly. I like it.
I often laughThanks everyone for the compliments!
I had a laugh when Juise said this- (Unless Raz says they aren't)![]()

Thanks for IDing the flowers. I sorta knew that they were part of the Anemone family by the look of the flowers.
I would love to have our dog trained! She is very scared of the calves and Bella, and won't go past the chicken coop to where they are. And plus some other issues, like not greeting us when we come home, not obeying half of the time, etc.She is almost 9 months old.![]()
