Opa, its still storming here. Was a real crapper delivering in the down pour. I had my rain coat on, but I still ended up soaked. We still have power here despite the lightning. BUT, I am going to shut this computer off... Be on the safe side. LOL. I am glad I do not have egg eaters. ALL THOUGH, does eating the soft shelled eggs that Veena was dropping count as egg eating? Well they do not eat the hard ones, so, I am good their.

I don't remember if I said or not, but I did finally get my door built for the summer coop. Now I just need an extra pair of hands in a tight space to put the door up. Oh joy. OH YEAH! I did say so... when I was complaining about the escape artist. LOL

Very nice! Are some of these eggs ones you got from me? If so I can't believe it has been 3 weeks already. Good luck!

Yes, some were from you. Others came from Taprock and a cousin of my husband's down in the Muskegon area. So far only tossed one egg. When I candle tonight, will toss anything that is a for sure gonner.

I ended up with one pip overnight. It's not the egg that was wiggling so......wait, and watch.

Foggy beginning to the morning. This is my DH first week on summer hours. They go from 5 - 8 hr days to 4 -10 hrs and he gets Friday's off. It throws a bit of a loop into my morning schedule. I forgot to turn on my coffee

Opa, looks like it's your turn for rain today. Yesterday afternoon I looked up my local 24 hour rainfall total.

3.37"

SEVERE storms, flooding...
but oh how much the lawn and garden needed it! Since it's sandy soil, puddles don't stay long.

Ugh, or I am. I don't know, Olive, I might try to go back and check. Today I lost my credit card because when I went to the ATM I suddenly could no longer remember my pin... I tried until the machine ate my card.

So it's probably me. Every day my children work to turn my brain into pudding. I just remember being kind of relieved when I heard 6 - 10 days because I felt that things had started before 6 days. Either way, though, I will know soon enough.

LOL! The other day I was asked my driver's license number and I actually had to pull it out and look. First time in my life. I have always had DL, SS, License plate, etc all memorized. When I used to be shackled to corporate america I had to use a company credit card fairly regularly and even had that number, security code and expiration date memorized. I'm going straight to heck in a hand basket.

Did you end up swabbing your big girls too? When do you expect the results back?

Opa, prayers and well wishes for the arrival of the twins

Brethern, It's hard to believe it has been three weeks already. Time flies when it isn't your hatch. Good luck!

taprock, good luck with your pips too.

Anyone want some geese? I have two pair that I wish someone would come and get. The only problem is the I am only one of the owners of them. The other owners are everyone else who lives in the state. Or perhaps since waterfowl are covered by federal law I guess technically they are owned by the entire population of the country.

Giant Canada geese numbers are almost beyond belief. When you consider that they were once thought to be extinct until a small population of a few hundred when discovered in Minnesota in the early 1960's. Now they number in the hundreds of thousands. As I tiptoe through the droppings they've left in my yard I wish they were back in Minnesota. When my JRT Daisy was younger she kept them chased off, but she no longer is up to the task.

Ten hours into labor and the two new granddaughters have yet to make their entrance. Maybe they heard the thunder last night and have decide to wait for better weather. Hope's son just called and ask her to come to Ann Arbor to help him pace. The doctor has decided that they are going to take the babies a little later this morning.

Thanks Hillbilly Hen! I was looking at Rhode Island Reds or Orpingtons.. But now that I've seen how cute Delewares are I want some of those! Are they nice and friendly?

Also does any know or does anyone live around Kalamazoo that has some Dellies? The Tractor Supply is the only place I know sells chicks.. but they arent anymore...

Opa, prayers for the twins arrival and safe travels for Hope.

Olive, my uncle is the one with the border collies, he does puppies to fully trained adults just let me know if you or anyone else ever wants another. My aunt keeps trying to put one or six of the puppies in my car when I am not looking, for the kids of course.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
