Our deck is maybe 2 feet off the ground, only three steps but it is a good idea to consider- maybe for the ducks we can stick a house under there for them.
It boggles my mind because they define agriculture as anyone who just grows produce for themselves let alone sells it. And "Farm" only mentions poultry farms in that way. At least three people in my area have horses or had horses- neighbor has two donkeys and a horse about 10 feet from our driveway.

My mother (Property owner) says that maybe a friend of ours wouldn't mind caring for them but then I am left going there to build a coop, a run, dropping off feed, picking up eggs each morning/let them out, and making sure everyone is all right.E

ETA: SillyChicken, I hate it. I just want a place to live with tall privacy fence and quiet.

Today I am working on getting rid of the boat, the two cars, and now trying to find a place to hide a coop/run that can't be seen from the street.

ETA I have until the 17th to comply with the camper trailer placement, scrap the cars, get rid of the boat.
Are you just moving the cars and boat? Or do you to get rid of them entirely? You can call Purple Heart or another car donation place to take the vehicles. Can the camper be easily moved? If you need a truck to help move it shoot me a PM. I think you are pretty close to me.

I have a tent garage/storage deal that I use for the chicken run and daytime shelter for them. My ordinance guy had an issue with it but didn't press the issue when I let him look in it. My yard work machines were in it.

I couldn't imagine living my life, having to worry about a bunch of petty neighbors...
They can be a real pain in the arse, but I don't let it get to me. From the day I first moved in the guy on the north side started complaining and calling until the police and ordinance people told him to stop bothering them. He has since changed medications and I haven't heard a peep in 2+ years.

Crabby is another story, we were BEST friends for 12 years until she wigged out recently. The consensus is that she hit menopause. I have to get those privacy panels set so I can completely block her out.

I feel your pain, Raz. My neighbor that I have been friends for 12 years did the same thing to me. I'm waiting for a apology, but it's been 6 weeks and haven't recieved it yet. Her loss.

That's what I say. I have other friends. Heck, I have friends that I haven't even used yet.

I need a border Collie!!!!!!!!! Our German Shepard/Black lab is worthless!!!! :he She won't do anything with the cows! :barnie Really, I would love to get one after Bella had decided that it her turn to escape. :barnie

What an adventure, Daron!  Shepherds and Labs are working dogs, and Shepherds are even herders but the working blood is so far removed from most of them that they just don't have the instinct to use if a herd of sheep hit them over the head.  Add in the lab, which also has been bred far, far from its working heritage in most cases, but that even as a worker would be a retriever, not a herder and there's probably not much hope for your dog in this instance -- through no fault of her own, of course.

What about putting a gate across your driveway so if they come up that way they can't get out?  You could actually just put one across the drive that goes back to the coops/cow shed, not across the main drive to the house.

That sounds like a good idea. You know how our land is like, a very long thin ruler, only less than 200 feet wide, but about 2000+ feet long. That was a lot of running. :th

We moved here when I was almost four, that was 20 years ago, and we brought 3 wether Nubian goats with us. I barely remember them, but remember playing the three billy goats and the troll with them. My older brothers or I was the troll. Anyway, the crabby neighbor's dog would chase the goats, and the goats would escape, my dad had asked the neighbor to do something about the dog, they refuse to so, so my dad got rid of the goats. :( We have not heard/seen a peep from them in 20 YEARS until the calves escaped last week.

According to my other nice lovely neighbors, the Crabbys had moved here to be left alone, and we still don't even know their names!! Yet, they live the closest to us! 200 feet away!
