Well in this dream, I had these little chicks- and I was moving back up here from Tennessee- and Sam was helping me move, but his name was Kendall..and i couldnt find the box of chicks...and these guys had them, and I kept asking why cant I have them back and 342 kept saying he was sorry- and the bad guys were laughing and saying, "They are already paid for"..and I was begging for Kenny the duck (????)
The bad guys kept saying, "You get the car-why are you complaining?"

And then I had to drive, to try and come home, and it was dark and I couldnt see well and I think I was wrecking when I woke up.
Most of the details of this dream have faded now, but it was disturbing.
Ack! I hate nonsense scary dreams!

BTW - I can't wait to see those blue uggos and I'm sad they won't be hatched for me to accidently on purpose take one home.

Um, if he comes to CS, there are toilets there. Just saying...
I don't remember but your 40 foot Ryder rental is waiting for you.
Am I the half way point for another chicken swap?

If I can get someone to laugh about something I said or did, then I consider my day complete.

yeah I sure hope he uses them instead of the outdoors It will be pretty embarrassing to go for our first time as newcomers and EVERYONES chickens comes running to attack the puddle!!

I see you have other chickens. If she is too shy to be with them, does she enjoy seeing them?
Yeah lol but my RIRs like charge the fence at her!! She's content hanging out with the ducks! It's really funny to watch Jewel and the RIR hens because they will stare each other down and jewel stares at them until they go back into the coop from the run then she will wander around the yard with the ducks. It's also fun to watch her with the ducks because at first the ducks are looking at her like "what the heck is THAT?!?! Never seen one of these things before!!"

oh I remember now... I was thinking about Chickenstock last year and there was someone there with a beautiful goose following them around the whole time. Who was that? I think that's what started my duck obsession. I know for sure I can't have a goose in my backyard (right??? lol), but a duck or two might work. ;)

edited to add - Wow, mom and The Doctor do look a lot alike!
Awww that's sweet!! My ducks will eat out of my hand and they LOVE their grapes!! I need to get some when I'm at the store I haven't got them grapes in a while

oops! It's really cool because they will RUN after them if you throw them across the yard it makes for a really fun game and that makes it easier for the more passive ducks to get some too!!

I just inhaled and ate a bug.

Thats it- I am calling it a night.
It was probably a frickin spider...add that to the statistics...how many spiders does one consume in their life time while they are AWAKE?

I've had a busy weekend so far. We managed to get rain all night last night. So nice, however how much I don't know. DH put the rain gauge under the eaves so I know it isn't correct.

The last two nights I have taken my 9 four month olds out of the small coop and put them in with the adults. They are all the same size and don't seem to get picked on but are very scared of them. Then I took the 5 yes 5 broodies and tossed them in the small coop after removing all nest boxes. It gives new meaning to the words Angry Birds. The broody Polish is the worst! Hopefully they will be done soon.

Nova - sorry about your birds and glad Roger was a tough guy and saved some. Ignore the guy giving you a hard time about wanting to kill the raccoon. The honest truth about predators is they will always take the easiest meal, if not from you, from the neighbor. And the second truth is after they find the easy meal they will keep coming back for it. I hope you get him. Tan him and turn him into a chicken apron.

I know more has happened but I can't remember. I have been keeping up reading the last couple days but have never had time to comment. Have a great Father's day dad's. I have to get my son up shortly because he is making breakfast for DH.

My two younger LF are the same way. After 3 attempts I finally have them fully integrated, they go to bed with the big girls willingly and are finally roosting next to them. But for some reason once they are out of the coop and "free ranging" they freak out every time the biggers come near. IDK why because they don't pick on them. They spend a lot of time near the bantam fence wanting back in with Waffles.

I'm hoping if I just stay steadfast and make them range with the biggers that they will eventually get it.
