Hey Uchytil... What we doing for our birthday?

We have not gotten a speck of rain here today. That 40% chance has been a big fat ZERO! According to the temp gage at the bank, as of 25 minutes ago, it was 92 out. UGH!! I gave the birds watermelon earlier. Nothing so funny as seeing those meaties realise that it was very yummy food. I guess I should thank the silkies for that. They, the meaties, now eat more treats I bring them since having the girls in there with them, and the chicks who also hang out in there with them since their mama abandoned them, and decided that laying eggs was not in her best interest at this time, but sitting on eggs is. Stupid chicken will not take no for an answer. She's on 2 eggs. Thats it. Just 2. SO, she best hope that they're fertile. There I go, anthropomorphising my hen.

Well anyway... Rain... Where is MY rain. Oh... My well. My rain is in my well. Good thing I have one, or my water bill would be outrageously high.

No kidding? Well I just finished working and I'm having some cake the seniors made me at the assisted living place. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you as well!

Nova- leave some eggs in a nest so the poor girl can go broody. As soon as a dozen or so are there, she will glue herself to the nest.

My notmeaty laid an egg today! Whoo hoo...and WOW her egg song..she mustve been trying to get Mr. Notmeaty to hear her all the way at Robins.

Thanks all for the bunny thoughts and advice...still nothin. I took him to work, gave him subq fluids twice. Talked to two vets via phone who said after 24 hours, no change means brain-dead and to put him down. HOWEVER, he acknowledged me with the slightest head movement when i opened his cage...so, I am waiting until tomorrow. No change by morning, and I will do it tomorrow when i go in to work in the evening.
The other bunnies are fine.

Huey couldn't hear her as he was in air conditioning. LOL So sorry about your bunny. Hope he gets better by tomorrow.
