I do. I consider all of them my pets... Pets with benefits. But pets none the less. I sometimes think I take better care of them than I do my dogs. HAAHAA

Nova, your name was the first to pop into my head when he asked if I knew anyone who kept chickens as pets. I'll put you on my witness list.

An animal's classification and what people do with them are often two very different things. I consider some of my favorite hogs to be like pets, but they are decidedly livestock.

I agree with you 100%. Terminology here is a matter of semantics. The prosecutor seems to like the word play as do I. He threw down a gauntlet and I decided to pick it up. I suggested that chickens are more popular "pets" than canaries.

very awesome job! We had a RIR chick once that got pecked at by some of the hens and they split the top of her head open...we named her Crane the Brain...after TMNT. A little neosporin and solitary confinement and she was great...but she was also older then newly hatched. Crossing my fingers it makes it!

Oh I am so glad to hear that your little chick made it after the same thing happened! Did you have to stitch the wound closed too? I was SO nervous doing it.

Hmmmmm....if you really want to do it I'm game! I just don't want perfectly good hatching eggs to go to waste. well, not really waste, I'll eat them lol. Why don't I collect tomorrows eggs and then we can meet up on Thursday (oh wait, is that the day you said you were busy?) and you can take them home to the bator! Then, once they hatch, we can sort through and divide the hatch up. You have to keep a showgirl though...it's the law.

Sounds good...writing it down so I remember. lol Best thing about eggs is that they don't peep or crow so I can sneak them into the Lab and won't get caught LOL. So Thursday it is! I'm there 7-330 so any time in between

LOL That was too funny. I'm siting there watching you go by and never even looked. Some guy comes by and says "Hi" and still no Jen. I'm thinking hmmm maybe I need to go register at the lab.
