Just poking my nose in to say hi . . . I'm a tad northeast of Lansing, new to chickens and a victim of chicken math. What I thought was a dozen is, in fact, 21 chickens.
Anyway, I only know one other person with chickens near me, so a holler in my direction is welcome anytime.

Hi there! I'm on the south side in Holt! Probably just a short drive away. Chicks are like pringles...

So this morning I woke up to thunder and lightening...but no rain...so I took a shower, no rain...got the kids ready to go to Grandmas, no rain....put shoes on and said "lets go!" AND BAM! Down pour!!! We got slammed with rain in Holt...it was soooooo awesome! I grabbed the little one and ran to the truck and in the 30ft it took to get to the truck I was soaked, but who cares! We don't have to water the garden tonight!

I was kinda bummed I sloshed into a puddle I didn't see...went to work smelling like wet socks LOL

Just got a ticket because my weeds are too long, I have until 6am tomorrow morning to cut them or I have to pay $100-150. There must be a better way to spend tax payer money than having a police officer go door to door handing out tickets for weeds

This is the biggest clutch of Araucana eggs I've tried to hatch! From my own girls. I hadn't been getting many to hatch, only small batches, for a number of reasons. They were broody, then were hiding them, they were raising chicks, etc.

But now, I have thirty eggs in my Brinsea. So in three weeks, I should have chicks running around!
