I think this may be the hardest I have laughed all day!
Thanks for that advice Olive. It has been gettingprogressively worse. I even succumbed and got shoe inserts. Did not help yet!
Thanks but these are adults not chicks.I fed mine turkey start... that is what I was told to feed them. By the lady that hatched them.
Those are the ones I saw at Menards, I have thought of using them,,,,,I did not mean to imply that you or any one else was putting poison around were chickens can get it, just want to warn that de con or like products can be put in a very save place, out of reach of chickens or pets but the mice move it to locations unsafe. If the mice can't get back out they can not move the poison,That is good. I had put the De-con in milk jugs so my cat couldn't get at it and was shocked at all the places we found it later on.Let me get this clear. We use the ones where the mice can't get back out. We put them in the rafters and outside along the sides of the barn where chickens can't get to them. We don't lay poison around where chicken can get to it, we're not that ridiculous!
Thank you,Thank you this sounds like something my guys will like, Have you posted other cast iron pan recipes? I have copied several down and am waiting for cooler weather to try themBoil eggs (duck, chicken, peafowl, whatever you have except emu eggs, they are too big!)
I used duck eggs because I had them
1 pound of ground meat (your favourite kind - mine was 3/4 chicken thigh and 1/4 pork)
1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp ground sage, 2-10 (okay, I love garlic) crushed garlic cloves, 10 grinds of black pepper, 1/2 tsp dried mustard powder (optional). Mix it all together - if it seems a bit moist, add 1/4 - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs to bind it.
Divide into 4 portions. Rolling it our can be a pain, so I use cling film, with flour on it and put another piece on top. Then "shmush" it round the boiled eggs that have been chilled. Form into a nice ball pressing it tight, then roll in breadcrumbs. Fry in hot oil in a cast iron pan until brown on all sides, then drain any excess oil, and transfer the pan to a 325 f oven for 25 minutes to make sure it's thoroughly cooked.
Serve chilled with Dijon or HOT English mustard and a big pint of the very best beer!
She told me that turkey start had the right amount of protien for them... As chicks and adults... She has raised them for many years. I didn't have any problems and the female laid an egg a day/ everyother day... until my cat ate her. I was soooo mad!!!Thanks but these are adults not chicks.
Beauty is truely in the eye of the beholder thenThe dog is gorgeous but them chicks are just plain ugly !!!! LOL
