I have a broody who has been setting on eggs for about 25 days.

I don't candle the eggs under my broody(she get s very mad at me).

Well today I happened to catch her off her nest so I went to peek.

I found this little egg.

I took it in the house and popped it in the bator.

It is definately a 'scovy egg.

I can't imagine how tiny this baby will be. It is developing and looks full and I see movement.
I brought in the house because I will help this one hatch if it need be, just to see this tiny baby,

Here is a pic of the egg beside one of my average size 'scovy eggs.

Thanks. I will definatley post pics. Don't tell anyone I said this but I think ducklings are even cuter than chicks!

Absolutely about ducklings and chicks. There is a saying: "nothing homelier than a hen" (of course, you've never seen me!!!)

Ducks are always more lovely than chickens, imo

And if muscovies laid more eggs, I'd say let chickens become extinct!

scovies are the best.

BTW, if you get that egg to hatch, you deserve an award. Scovy eggs are near-impossible in the bator. I didn't say impossible, please note. Just be aware that it may very likely die sometime after week three...........

Duckmonk, I have had extreme good luck hatching muscovies. Out of 18 fertile eggs I ended up with 16 ducklings, so heres hoping this one hatches.
