Have a five week old RIR with Mica4.
She has some risidual sight in the affected eye.
She's just as active and playful as other pullets her age.

Amelia was in house today after being relentlessly pecked on by one of the 6 month old Barreds.
She's fine, no injury.
My question is only 2 percent of pullets survive this and they usually are mentally deficient as well.
Amelia isn't...
Has anyone here had experience with affected birds?

Can you post some clearer pictures of the eye? I have never seen a chicken with this, but from what little there is to read about it, it seems to be genetic. So, I would not hatch her eggs. Do you think it might be more of a birth defect from hatch?

That's what I think. She was broody hatched, her broody was new at hatching and I figured the egg didn't get turned enough.. IMG_20180925_132346.jpg three 1/2 weeks

Yes, not much to go on about condition, that's why I wonder if anyone else has delt with it.
