Microplastics!

There are micro and nano plastics. Very small, microscopic particles of plastic that come off plastic products. Plastic almost anything: bottles, containers and textiles/clothing. The textiles/clothing release particles into the air, which goes into us/humans, animals, water. Plastic containers release into the fluid/food. Heating food/liquid in plastic containers releases even a greater amount. We have only been watching this for about a year. We no longer heat in plastic, we drink our tap filtered water in glass or something with a stainless liner. Now we are watching the clothing, textiles for home (towels, sheets, curtains etc) and staying away from polyester (hard to do), acrylic, nylon.

Micro and nanoplastics have been an issue of concern for decades, it's just now really starting to bubble up. Don't look too closely at cosmetics and toothpastes since the 70's. All I'm sayin'

There's still a lot of science to learn here, and we can only guess at the long-term fallout from contamination. A lot of currently circumstantial studies link it to everything from autism to cancer to depression, but the truth is we just don't know yet. We need time and research to fully understand it.

I'm gonna let it go there.

Spread the word. Though we all have some level of micro/nano plastics in our bodies and unfortunately our brains. Many studies Now, decades late. Add Parkinson's, dementia... Better late than never to change lifestyles But sooo much is packaged in plastic and so much plastic in textiles.
On a comical note, I have not used much in the cosmetic line for over a couple of decades due to hot flashes. Husband says I'm beautiful, love is blind and hopefully he sees inside. Anyway, organic garden (33 years), canning/preserving fresh doing what we can but almost impossible to not be in contact with plastic. Make changes where possible.
