Do chickens eat and pass plastic?

What exactly does this mean?
Got pics?

Send it back? (kidding)
Partial refund?
I will take a pic! But basically it's very tiny pieces of plastic, some are as small as 1/4 of a nail, and some are more like 1/2 a bottlecap, and much of it is little pieces of plastic bag... a good reminder to all that this stuff truly exists forever and we should all take any chance we have to reduce our consumption of it...

I asked my neighbor, who is an avid organic gardener, and she said it's in all the bulk soil she's ever purchased, and we are outside of a relatively environmentally friendly city where organic gardening is all the rage. It must be from plastic ending up in peoples' greenwaste bins or compost. Maybe I will pay my friend's kids to come pick as much of it out as possible, lol. Treasure hunt!

The risk of plastic and all kinds of toxic substances mixed in with the bulk soil is the reason we just don't buy it.

We rather work on our organic composting systems and wait for the compost/ soil to break down to usable condition.
