I have 5 Buff Orpingtons, and 5 Easter Egger hens, They're all 2 years old and have lived together their whole lives so I would like to keep them together.
They are very good layers, friendly, and clicker trained (if they are free-ranging you can use a clicker or click with your mouth, and they will all come).
I love my chickens very much but I am going to University this fall and my parents do not want to take care of the chickens while I am gone. ):
Their new home MUST be predator proof, and preferably somewhere without a rooster. I need to know that they will be well loved and cared for. I am willing to travel up to 100 miles from the Lansing area.
They will not be re-homed until the end of Spring or the beginning of Summer.
Be warned- there probably will be tears during the exchange, I love my chickies very much.
Will post pictures soon, feel free to ask questions.
