Then yesterday we finished the inside. So I finally am using some stuff we had to buy... 3 rolls of R11 insulation and 4 cheap sheets of melamine. I painted the floor with leftover exterior paint, it'll get another coating later. Yes, the insulation in the ceiling is laying there. It's the compromise I did with the SO. He wants to do a full ceiling like a house with the vents completely covered and holes and... I told him I need to be able to rip it down if there's not enough airflow up there. We'll see what December brings.
this is the west side. No windows, most of the winter wind comes from this direction. It has the roof vents and side vents, first pic is the north side triangle vent.
South side window bank and vent. This is sunny in winter, as you can likely tell the trees got leaves the past week!
Took pics after I painted the floor. There's a large gap above the insulation, and it's below the vents. As I said, I can rip out insulation as needed in winter. There's also a 6 inch gap all along that back wall in the insulation. He wanted it filled, I wanted less. Compromise until I rip it out lol. The ceiling is 6 ft tall.
waiting for paint to dry now. I hate waiting!
So far for my 100 inch x 50 inch coop I've spent around 300 bucks. 100 in insulation and melamine, 2.50 for the vents. Etc!
