My chick has pipped in the middleish of its egg. It was originally face down but i read to flip it so it doesnt drown. Does everything look okay? Im so nervous cause these are babies from a very sweet n special rooster i lost unexpectedly. The day we lost him i incubated some eggs.

I get those now and then from shipped eggs actually. The air cell is on the side in these.

I would give that chick 24 hours from the time it pipped to get out or make some major progress.

If no progress is being made in 24 hours, then I'd help.

Here's a link to an article explaining how.

When I have helped a chick on occasion, they sometimes seem like they are weaker or may seem to have leg/feet issues. I leave those in the incubator for another 24 hours and usually they make a miraculous recovery.

I wish you a great hatch!!
