I have some Nicholas Turkeys I picked up 2-3weeks ago. There is a few days difference in the ages. I have several that seem to be stunted. I have removed several to the coop outside, leaving 5 turkeys and two chicks in my brooder. Several of the midgets seem to have caught up but there is 2 that have remained very small if not as small as the chicks. Will these guys grow up or are they doomed for snake food?

The smaller ones could have been hatched last and or weaker and been pushed away from the food or have been sick or had some other issue that slowed down their growth. By seperating them out the smaller ones will get more food but they may never catch up to the others. Only time will tell.

Thank you Steve. I was hoping that was the case. The other 3 caught right up after I moved the bigger polluts which they will join today and hopefully that will perk things up. I gave them some water with molasses in it to help stimulate their appatite.
