Has anyone heard of any incidences of Midget Whites with a bit of color or in my case some black on their feathers? I got my poults from welp hatchery. The midget whites I got all looked the same until about 2 weeks ago when this one started getting some color. They are 8 weeks now. This is the first time I've had Midget Whites or just turkeys in general, is this common to the breed?

I would say it is either a result of getting poor quality birds from a hatchery or, it is part Royal Palm.

To be honest you really never can know what you get breed wise when you order from any hatchery. The whole order process is flawed and it is pretty much a crap shoot.

The occasional single black feather in a White Midget is not unusual. That many colored feathers leads me to agree with Steve. It's a Palm or crossed with one.
